Was out on a backroad having fun in sport mode in 46 degree temp in third gear and had the rear tires getting all squiggly. In a controlled way.

Yes. They do. ALL max performance summer tires should be warmed up to ~40 before they are used or they can crack. Driving on my 4S's in low 30's is like driving in cold rain in the morning till they warm up. The fact that Cup 2's are more susceptible to it doesn't mean that its somehow ONLY a Cup 2 thing.

So... get winter/cold weather wheels?
That is an option, but not where I’m going to spend my next bit of cash. With three toy cars I can’t do everything to the max.
I have two garages attached to each other (sliding glass door between the two) one is finished with flooring etc.. I’m going
To finish the other one the same way. The Hot Rod always seems to need something and throws my plans out the window!
Retired with fixed income doesn’t allow me to do everything I wish I could. Putting all the previous aside, they salted the roads
Around here three days ago and they’re not clean enough to cruise yet.

I used to drive my Track pack with Supersports whenever was dry before putting her to sleep, no issues in negative temps...
But yesterday was 10 degrees Celsius (50F) in Newton, sunny... so good time for a roll, even with SC2's :)
My car is stored ~20 miles from home - not so easy to be spontaneous even if I wanted to. A week ago I was driving in Arlington Lexington Bedford, Billerica, Carlsile before putting it away - as it dropped again in the near mid 40F's those SC2's were as hard as a rock - on rough surfaces it felt stiff and jounced about harshly on rougher roads despite being in normal mode. Freshly paved now awesome rt2 sure...but the crap lunar surface secondary & side roads...rattle traps. Also took forever to warm up the motor and I'm still in low mileage break-in mode. I have no interest in testing Ford's or Michelin's temp use/storage warrantee on those SC2's with barely any miles on them. Plus hard rides now that I have an arthritic back/body isn't that much fun - its not intended to be a daily driver and I'm imposing on a friend for storage & the ride back home. Or in short - lots of reasons for putting it away early. Another - flash back to trailing throttle oversteer on some black ice with my 69 Mach1 decades ago - putting a rotary island granite curb into the rocker panel that "just one more day" in November is something I'll always regret....but back then I was a fresh out of college kid and cars like that were <$3K.

BUT if I see you again on 128 here in the Newton/Needham or Waltham area taking advantage of a late season warm day - well I'll be the guy in the cop like black explorer sport, probably in the left lane, flashing dit dit dah and waving a thumbs up in approval.

Look forward to a meet up in the spring! Lets make it happen - just us GT350 clan. Cheers!!

Looks nice! Ultimate Pedal's website doesn't show pedals with the Ford logo. Is that a request option? How was the install?

The “Ford” logo was an extra $25 per pedal. He can put any graphic you want, and also confirmed size and location prior to manufacturing.

I had local racing shop (Orbit Racing) install the pedals while they had my car for the Rollbar. I don’t have the proper drill to do the job (just have a cordless impact drill at home).

Got the new DJI Mini (my first drone) and needed something to film so I did a few quick shots of my kid.

Unfortunately, I had to cut it short because some planes needed to taxi and the drone shut down. Can't wait to take it on vacation.
