I know that CAI are mostly or maybe totally for looks, but how does K&N get away with a HP increase guaranty and put a dyno sheet in each box showing 22.1 hp increase on a 2018 GT
with out getting sued in our sue happy society ????

They say that a HP increase is guaranteed by not how many HP. They then go on to use estimates as to what you might see. This doesn’t mean they guarantee a specific HP gain.

Exactly. No where on their website or any other marketing do they ever guarantee a specific #, whether it's gains or total hp output. The only thing they guarantee is that you will get an increase in power, no mention of how much.

Also given how wildly dyno calibrations and weather factors can vary, they can easily dismiss a lack of gains on the basis of dyno inconsistency if it ever came to that in a court of law.

K&N performance air intake systems are protected by a guarantee—you will get an increase in horsepower and torque.

LOL. 22.1HP at 6787 rpm. Come on. While this may be factually correct and keep them from being sued it’s bull. Tell me what the gains are in the 2-4K range where most of your driving is done. Bet it around 5 HP, at best.
