What size tire are you looking to run in the winter?

I have a PP2 as well. the stock tires and rims are:
Front:
19"x10.5" +24mm offset. 305/30R19

Rear
19"x11" +48mm offset. 305/30R19

I found out that the stock rims can take a 275/35R19 as the smallest width tire and its height is just a little bigger. I have not yet mounted them to the stock rims yet but everwhere I spoke to said they were fine. I grabbed on sale a set of Blizzak LM-32 for $225/tire plus a $80 debit card rebate

A 19"x10" tire can take a 255 tire as its narrowest. According to sites I have found that Ford suggests a 235 for the Mustang. Your rim can fit 255 - 285 wide tires. Tire tread and compound is the most important with tire width following in importance.

Those rims at an offset of +40mm might hit something on the front. I am not sure they can fit the front. I would double check what offset and size rim PP1 or other GTs take.

I think the regular GT take a 19x8.5 with a 255 tire and a 42.5 offset or a 19X9 with a 45 offset.

Let us know how you make out.

A guy that I work with has a PP1, he got a set of wheels and tires from discount tire that worked well for him. Hes supposed to send me the info soon.

I just wasnt sure if the offsets would be different because it's a PP2.

I have been using this tire size calculator to see how a wheel and rim (and offset) sit as compared to stock. It still doesn't guarantee it will fit but it gives you an idea at least.

https://www.tire-size-calculator.info/

What I like is that it shows via a diagram how the stock and new tires differ both in placement and diameter and they give you the actual numbers along with how it affects the speedometer.

Check it out. It could help a bit and give you a piece of mind. Might also prevent you from getting stuck with a set of tires.

I gave you the details on the PP2 wheels above. You can do a search for others. I use this site to get some of them: https://www.wheel-size.com/size/ford/mustang/2019/
They seem to list many, but not all of the tire and rim details.

When I was looking at winter tires, I used this chart to see what tires fit what rims:
Tire Width to Rim Width chart.jpg

It gave me an idea what will fit the stock rims and what will fit a small width rim. I chose the 275/35R19 based on it being the narrowest the 11" rear rims will fit and I could still use them if I wanted to go down to 19" x 9.5. Later, I could use the 19"x 9.5" to fit a 245 or 255 width winter tire if I find the 275 do not perform well. I suspect they will not which is why I will be putting some weight in the trunk as well. If the tires work well enough, I may go to a 19" x9" rim or 19" x 8.5" and get a 235 width tire for the winter.

As for offset, do yourself a favor and do some searching on what affect changing the wheel track does. Wheel track is the distance between the center of the width of each tire. Changing the offset could change the wheel track and might give you a negative change in handling. For me, I am looking to keep the centers of the tires unchanged when I go to smaller width rims to keep similar handling. Of course, narrowing the tire will have an affect as well.

I believe the offsets for PP1 are different than PP2.
I think the PP1 have 19x9 +45mm offset front and 19x9.5 +52.5mm offset rear
PP2 is 19x10.5 +24mm offset front and 19x11 +48mm offset rear

since they are all positive values, I would think the PP2 has a wider wheel track both front and rear than the PP1. Remember that wheel track is measured from the center of the width of the tire. Offset is measured also from centerline. A positive offset will move the hub towards the outside of the car thereby moving the wheel further into the wheel well making it tucked in more.

Even though they are different doesn't mean they won't fit but it can throw off the tuning to some degree. I wonder how many of those guys who spin out with Stangs have aftermarket wheels or spacers throwing off the balance of the car..... A question for another thread.

It's winter. Narrowing the track of the car is no biggie. 9.5" wide rims at 4 corners is a common track-use setup. It's overkill in winter too.

Now to revive an old thread...

Short story, had an eb... now have a pp2... have 4 tires and wheels in my garage ( advanti dst svelo, 20x9 40mm offset front, 20x10 42mm offset rear) with 255/35-30 and 275/35-20 Sumitomo HTR Z5 Max Performance summer tires.

I am thinking the following - take off the stock rims and sport cup 2s and save them for track days. Buy a set of 275/30-20 all season tires and throw them onto the advanti rims and drive around on them daily. The miata tire size difference only lists a 1.1% difference in circumference.

Profit. Because the worst case scenario ( no one makes winter tires in 305) is having to be a set of 19" winter tires and wheels and a set of 19" summer/all season tires and wheels.

This way I get to use the rims I already have and just put new tires on them.

Or just buy a set of 19x8.5 or 19x9 rims and put winter tires on them. Baltimore like DC doesn't get anything resembling "snow" so some all-seasons will suffice too. (check the for sale board for current offerings)

PP2 has same hub geometry as PP1. I run Mustang OEM 19x8.5 rims in winter (with DWS06s on them) and they fit just fine over the brakes. Shogun32's suggestion is spot on.

I have a little bit of a different situation. I have a Roush RS2, but it was optioned with RS3 wheels here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2020-...-20-x-9-5-Forged-Aluminum-Wheel-/293606816108

20x9.5 square setup w 275 / 35s. It has the Brembo's and I can only assume the same size hub/caliper setup as the PP1 and PP2's as I'm taking it that both of those packages are the same wheel fitment wise. The Roush has the 1 Way Adjustable Coil Over suspension, but I'm sure that is different than any of the base Mustangs including the PP's. I'm looking to go to a square setup for winter. I don't know if I can go with 18's or not, but that would be preferable, due to cost, availability and more sidewall. I'd go 8.5's all around as skinnier is better, but don't know about spacers or anything. So if anyone can clue me in as the minimums, I could go from there out.
