You do see a lot of guys trading up in the 350 facebook group, seems most of the time it’s for an R. And the upgrades on the 19s seem to entice a few also

Traded my 2016 Track pack for a 2019 R model. Not sure how many but for me, I wanted a Gen 2 engine.

I've been wanting another GT350 since a couple months after I traded my 2016. I'm hoping to pull the trigger in the next year or so. I really hope Ford makes a 2021 and 2022 model GT350.

I've been thinking a lot about it and cross shopping. I sold my 16 tech to get a 500, but the market is not looking good for MSRP after contacting 20 plus dealers. The 16 had some issues and I like that it was corrected in 2017 and 2019 is 2nd gen. I was really hoping for rumors of HP bump for 2021 before I made a move. I'm just stuck on getting a HCat at same price as GT350 or PP2 at 45K OTD. I miss the sound and RPMs of the 350, but at a premium.

I upgraded from a '16 Tech to '19 R a few weeks ago and am totally glad I did. I had hesitated because so much is the same but there were several improvements I had been planning for the '16 Tech that are not needed on the '19 R (coolers, rear wing, sport seats) Some improvements that surprised me are:
  • quieter inside (when not revving the engine)
  • more solid drive feel
  • better engine sound with R muffler than GT350 with Corsa XPipe
  • stock sound system is pretty good ( I had added a sub and rear deck speakers to the '16 GT350)
I can't wait to see the improvements on the track!

I would wait for the initial demand of the GT500 to subside. They are making a healthy amount and it does not appear to be a limited short run, so in 12 months or so after introduction I bet you will be able to find one for MSRP or less.

Have you driven a Hcat? I have driven them twice and it is just not for me. Very big. Very comfortable, but it is traction limited on the stock tires and I just don't enjoy the handling nearly as much as the 350GT.

PP2 is a good deal for sure, and if you can find 19's I bet you can score a really good deal but I think I would struggle with it not being a GT350 in terms of motor and transmission. The Getrag transmission was a letdown for me.

The other car you may want to consider, if you have not already, is the Camaro. By far my second favorite option to the GT350.

Basic same reasons I traded my 2016 Tech for a 2019 R. Going to Track it soon, hoping to feel a difference.

I am really thinking about selling mine and getting a 2020 R. But I still own 22k on it and will lose good amount if I sell or trade it in. But damn I really want a Race Red R.
