First off I’m sure the mods will move this to another forum, but I thought sticking it here in “general” would draw the most attention.
There are those of us that don’t; want the cookie cutter look, don’t like huge wheels, don’t have big money to mod the cars we love. So this is the first in a series of budget minded mods I’ve been researching, since my big money goes onto my SVO and other projects. So here is a list of 18” wheels that clear the PP Brembo 6 puck brakes on my 2017 Mustang GT. In no particular order and with prices if I remember them all.
1.HRE FF15 available from CJpony for $1200 a set 18x9 and 18x10.
2.Flow One F1, F2, F3, and F4 available from Discount Tire and others, prices starting at $198 ea.
3.Apex EC7 best to buy these on a group buy through “Gang-Up” $1300-1600 a set.
4.ForgeStar pretty much any but the CF5 is awesome.
5.MMR FS01
6.TE37......don’t remember who makes this one but it was a very good price.
7. OEW is what is in the picture, $124 ea for 18 x 10, the absolute best bang for the buck.
The rule of thumb to fit 18’s w/PP brakes is they must be either “Forged” (big money) or made by a process called “Flow-form” AND have at least a medium concave. The accompanying picture is an aftermarket wheel made by OE Wheels that most of you have probably seen on eBay and Amazon, and I’m sure most of you will be surprised that the 18 x 10 square wheel set up on my car cost me a mere $498 shipped to my door.

@kent0464 do you have a link to the OEW that is pictured above. I am looking for a pair of cheap 10" wide for the rear to keep a set of sticky tires on for taking to the strip and 124 each is a very nice price. :)

I don’t quite know how to link, lol. But they are on EBay by OE Wheels, model FR19C, and have gone up slightly in price since I purchased but are available as low as $130 ea shipped. Read the color carefully they come in satin black and gunmetal. Product description says for rear only, but they clear the Brembo’s just fine with a spacer. Your original lugnuts will work also.

these Centerline SM1 REV 7 (discontinued) are 19x9.5et33 and 10.5et45 but at 70 each, hard to argue against. I HAVE confirmed proper fitment of the 19x9.5et33 (hand fits easily between rim and front shock, so 20mm?) and over the 6-pot Brembos. I have no reason to think the wider one won't with the requisite (13-15mm) spacer. They will arrive on Wednesday.

Would you please let me know how they fit up front....probably need a 1” spacer for the Brembo’s, but should be good on the rear.
You would need a spacer on both axles...and a custom one at that. The bore size is wrong, so you would need the adapter to make that transition.

18s, budget and PP brakes don't go well together. If you want the cheapest thing possible, get some 19" replicas from AM or OEWheels, those usually go for about $150 each.

the 70.5->73 aluminum adapters are $10-20 for a 4-pack and widely available.

How much spacer?

The 19x10's don't need a spacer. I have been wondering if the 18's would clear the brembos.

These are 42 offset, cleared the Brembo’s just fine but I had to use a spacer on the front to clear the coil overs I have on because I wanted a little more clearance for the tire, I run NT05 275/40/18 front and rear with slightly over 2 deg on camber up front. I did not attempt to fit with the stock PP strut and spring.

The $70 wheels in 10.5ET45 got cancelled by the shipper. Probably a warehouse supply problem (only avail in black?). But the 9.5ET33 gun metal are on the delivery truck for today.

The TSW Rivage (cast) is also available for VERY low prices. 19x9.5 ET40 (need 70.5-76 rings) $73 each.

The Centerline SM1 REV 7 19x9.5et33 fits great. (I updated my post)
They were packed incredibly well inside the original box. None of my other wheels came with a thick foam 'pool noodle' covering the outward facing lip.

I have a set of 18x9.5et35 Motegi MR136 inbound and will see if those flow-formed wheels do as well. They are currently going for $100 each.

Awesome I’m going to look in to getting a set.

Thanks Matt

These unfortunately do NOT work. The barrel is heavily sloped and hits the caliper. damn shame, very nice wheels.
