wow, that's a major design defect! There is a stainless shim between the spring and the adjuster, yes? There also should be a torrington bearing at one end.

Nope, when you try to adjust it, the whole thing just spins in place. I agree, a design flaw. You still get customizable height, just a pain in the ass to get the exact stance you want. I got “lucky” if you can call it that, and only took two attempts to dial in the stance I wanted.
