The 2 White Base models with painted stripes, have been Produced, 0581 10/28 & 0604 10/29, so why is this not reason enough to be on the same trailer as CFTP cars going to Penske to have their stripes painted. If you have another explanation, please share it.

Nobody knows and your theory is plausible. I was told these trailers will be doing this more than once, lol. Maybe someone will follow one.

That's certainly a possibility, it that is the case, their going to need a lot of trailers. But I am thinking the indoor facility is much closer to the plant and may even be across the street from the plant. But I am just guessing.

Penske is about 41 miles from FRAP.

Dang, that's a lot further away than I thought. Pretty ambitious of Ford to go with this Golden Ticket business when not everything needed is in the same place.

Looks like a pretty crummy drive, too.

Holy smoke, Earl...my guess was correct, that's quite a DRIVE. I kept scrolling and scrolling reading merge here, take the left two lanes here, and on and on....geeeze. :-) I guess either 1) Roger found some cheap land, 2) Wanted to be centrally-located to all of the Big 3, or 3) There was no closer properties of the size he needed.

Quite a commitment by both Ford and Penske I'd say with that much distance in between and so many trips back and forth required. I for one, tip my hat to both companies for doing something that, to my knowledge, has never been done on a production car since the sixties and, something that truly requires some careful planning not to mention, top-quality workmanship.

Then hearing how gorgeous the product is was just the icing on the cake for both I'm sure. That is, as long as it doesn't turn into a nightmare for one or both companies.

Yes amazing. So you are confirming that those cars are on the way to Penske for stripes? Why the factory rollers on the white car? Any information you can provide would benefit all of the community. Any comment on the "quality issues" that have been rumored to delay shipping? Thanks.

Cars going to Penske are finished. A car with temporary wheels would not be going to Penske.
Can't comment on any quality concerns, but it is common during a launch to identify concerns that need to be addressed before vehicles ship. This program is no different.

Looks like Ford planned on updating/upgrading the current paint operation at Flat Rock as well as "modifying the existing automotive body shop and assembly line."

Ford then made the decision (recently) to withdraw their permit to install application.

Really wired thing, my Ford vehicle tracking just took a day off? Was November 20th this morning and now the 19th eta. Now I’m only 3 hours from FRAP so literally it could be at dealer same day it shipped. Some body has to plug Information into that system or am I stretching for something??? Lol

My car was estimated for November 13, and Ford Vehicle Tracking just added 6 days - changing it to November 19th. Coincidental?!? In think not!
