In a very cryptic and secretive way. I haven't spilled the beans yet. I don't pass info that I am specifically told not to pass along. I was given permission to post this. I was going to get around to it later, but we just got done eating dinner and I wanted to finish watching the blacklist before I settled in and got this posted.

In a joking way he said he had a sit down with Bill last night and got things moving. He confirmed your spec and said "its on its way".

Kinda like a kid on Christmas, huh?

Like I said before, you of all people deserve this car.
sat down with Bill who?

I dont know. Like I said he wasn't making a whole lot of sense. Sounded like he was joking around. He sent me the video. That was the point of my message.

Would you be so kind as to let everyone know what's going on? You are working in the 500 program, correct?

Snoopy already pretty much figured it out. Amazing how accurate his information is...
Yes amazing. So you are confirming that those cars are on the way to Penske for stripes? Why the factory rollers on the white car? Any information you can provide would benefit all of the community. Any comment on the "quality issues" that have been rumored to delay shipping? Thanks.

You have done great work and you should be commended for the time and effort you have put forth for others here on this forum.

I received a message today and relayed it. I offered a copy of it to ephihany for his eyes only and so far he has not asked for it.

I would be fine in passing that info along to Tob for his eyes only.

Enjoy the video of the cars off to the warehouse, or the Penske shop, or maybe for some quality enhancement work (or whatever you called it).

I reached out to the person who sent me the video. He has given me permission to name him as the source of the message and video. Leo is the guy and a mustang enthusiast. He is a good source of info and he asked that you check out his Instagram @leo5mani.

Here is another shot of the 500s on the trailer

I like the clean trunk lid. Very stealthy. If you can call any 2020 GT500 stealthy.

The stripes on the rear bumper suggest that it has been to the mod shop. It would be interesting to hear the story on the trunk lid. Do they drill the holes for the wing in the trunk lid at the Mod Shop? You would think that they would have different deck lids for the GT350's & GT500's. A different part number for each one, GT350, GT350R, Base GT500 and Base GT500 with CFTP option.

Oh yes, indeed, I find all of this interesting. It is my understanding that the GT350R had the wing installed and the CF wheels installed at the Mod shop. It's probably the same process for the 500. As you pointed out, it is interesting how the rapid red had CF wheels on it with the wing installed, the white car had base wheels with a swing, and the black one had factory rollers with no rear aero.

It's a shame everything has to be so cloak and dagger in the manufacture of a car that has already been unveiled. I've had my deposit down for about 2 years now and have been following this program with sincere interest for longer than that.

Again, thank you for your insights. You are appreciated.

Earl: We both had the same thought and no doubt that was because the first thing you probably noticed, like me, were the Christmas wheels.

But wouldn't that make this car unusual, i.e., don't the wheels/tires get swapped at the Mod Shop? If so, at least this car is out of sync IF that truck is going to Penske.

By contrast, the Rapid Red car in the front has the CF wheels but no stripes.

So, I'm confused.

A friend from flat rock sent this to me earlier.
Tom: MANY thanks for posting the clip but I sure wish folks would figure out that shooting video should be done in landscape mode...geeze.

I wish we knew the VINs of those cars.

Thanks again and now we return you to your regularly-scheduled programming...(read WAITING.) :-)
