I had the shop chop mine down to fit the rest of the system.

$70 (+labor, so $300) solution (instead of 1000-1600) to the heat-soaking of the differential problem.
So did you just have mufflers installed and custom piping?

Borla Street (the one Ford 'licenses') and instead of the Borla resonator I had the Steeda H-pipe cut so I can trivially swap the resonator in should the H-pipe sound be not to my liking.

So do you like the sound? Are the Gt350s equipped with borlas?

Oh ok. Is the Borla Street the same as the Borla S? I have the active exhaust and for just mufflers with tips is $1500?

I ordered a Steeda myself. Received it in a day. Took it to the shop since I have no lift. Put it on in no time. They didnt weld. Clamps seem to be good enough.
Steedas h pipes are great because you dont have to mess with the heat shields on the 18/19s like you do with other ones.
I like how it sounds like stock, but amped up and not annoying. It's not to loud either. Really happy with it.
how much did the shop charge you for install with clamps no welds?

My shop charged me an hour of labor - $85.00
oh that's not bad at all 229$ for an pipe professionally installed, did you go to a regular mechanic or a dedicated exhaust shop?

no
you should familiarize yourself with the product.

I guess technically what I have is the Ford-branded what they are now calling the "European Tour" model.

I'm not up to speed on Borla pricing. If you have the AE, I'd leave everything the heck alone. Though if you want, you can have the H-pipe cut into the system (replaces Ford resonator) and see if you like the results.

YES!!

I don't have sound for the Borla 'Street' / 'Euro Tour' with the Borla resonators to compare, but with the Steeda H-pipe slotted in instead, this thing is still QUIET. I should have taken a dB measurement to quantify vs OE. What is very nice is the change in timber - a lovely deep tone. There was a little bit of metalic'y resonance at about 2000 RPM but nothing remotely like drone and it was a transient and I haven't heard it since really.

I despise tin cans and gratuitous bark and popping. I guess I need to find a tunnel or let somebody else drive it to appreciate the sound from outside the car. Holding a conversation was no effort at all - it sounds rumbling suggesting serious power but not a hint of anti-social behavior and no shriek.

I am seriously chuffed.
