Ford vs Ferrari - Who's taking their GT350 this weekend?

I am going this afternoon and really looking forward to it. I read the book “Go like hell” many years ago.
I really recommend it.

Unfortunately I won’t be going with the GT350 as the dealership messed it up once again ! They broke off a bolt by fixing an AC compressor - 3rd time car is in with AC compressor issues in less than a year. Now the subframe has to be dropped to remove the broken bolt. Car will be in all next week as well.

And the fact that I can’t take the car to the movie theater isn’t a big problem, I probably wouldn’t have taken it in any case.

What is a drama, is that I had to cancel my last track day of the year with Chin @ NJMP tomorrow !!!

Just got home from the movie. Wow. made my heart race, made me feel like I was in the car again. I love the movie, the characters were great. if you don’t go see this movie, as a car guy you’ll be missing out. Put aside your dislike for the characters in real life. this was a movie, about heroes. Did take the cover off, drove the Shelby around town before and after the movie.
What a great day for a True car guy.

Although I don't have a GT350, I did take my GT to see the movie tonight. It's pretty lengthy but overall a fantastic movie even if you aren't a Ford guy. I highly recommend seeing it in a large format theater such as IMAX, Cinemark XD, or anywhere that features Dolby Atmos because of the sound of the 427s are just amazing.

Took my shelby and raced some cars on the way back. I gotta say my stock 350 held its own vs a FBO heads/cam c6 z06 and FBO/Cam/E85 Gen 2 CTS-V. Only 1 or 2 cars lengths at 160 in mexico. Can't wait till I get my mods on.

Worth seeing, great scenes and the cars! Historivally speaking, very liberal interpretation throughout but, thats what movies do. I woukd go again.

yesterday at Moreno Valley Mall and Harkins theater to honor the Ford GT40 program that was based at their location at the historic Riverside International Raceway (RIR) 60 years ago, and where Ken Miles died at in the J-Car.


A month ago Raceway Ford in Riverside did their own tribute with multiple movie cars including the GT40 driven by Christian Bale in the movie and the Dave MacDonald Cobra driven by his son Rich MacDonald.

They came out to honor the GT40 Program, Ken Miles, and the track. The movies stunt coordinator Robert Nagel came out and drove the cars. They drove around where the racetrack was and went to the esses which is now where a Costco gas station and store is, and the movie car stayed at Raceway Ford for 5 days on display for the public.

I watched it Friday at noon with a matinee ticket. It was great. The filming of the night and day racing sessions were spectacular.

I read in the WSJ that the movie grossed $31M over the weekend which was number 1 of all movies last weekend.

Hell yea, I drove my Shelbly GT350. There was another GT350 in the parking lot next to my car after the movie. I waited, but I figure he was there for the next show at 3:00 pm.
