I thought the better way was to unplug the black connector underneath the hood by the air filter. I may be wrong.
You lose line lock if you unplug it.

Well that answers that lol.
Well, if you have a base car and don't need line lock, then I say go for it. No drag mode on a base car anyway.

I’m in a 301a car with 3.15
I weigh 300lbs, big boy

I went a 1.93 on a Pirelli which SUCK BALLS ([email protected])

I stalledd it to about 1600, if I came out easy it wheel hopped horribly

I believe if I would’ve gotten one more pass and came out at 2000 it would’ve gone an 11

I don’t think IRS likes to be flashed, at least from what I experienced

Now I have the IRS lockout kit, plus a drag radial. I hope the car goes 11.80’s Friday at Atco, gonna have great air

My cars not tuned, imho in drag mode the car shifts perfectly, it’s hard, fast and right to redline

Ford’s trans tuning is on point, maybe even too harsh?

A guy on Facebook with very similar car to mine, except he has more weight reduction, posted his timeslip and went 1.63 60ft. (11.002 ET) flashing the converter off idle rather than stalling up. At the Cecil County track rental this Sunday, I will be trying all methods. Flash off idle, 2,000 stall up, ~2,500 stall up using Ebrake, and if I am close enough to 10.9999 then I will bust out the transbrake and go for it.

Maybe on a tire u can flash it, but on a street tire my car HATED it

I assume u have axles in your car?
Trans Brake = axle breaker :)

I’m at a rental fri too, I’m gonna try a few different launches on a drag radial

Yeah, I have GForce Renegade halfshafts but still on stock driveshaft for now. I practiced the transbrake in a local parking lot and it left some mean looking black stripes. LOL.

Looking forward to hearing your times with the additional stuff you did. You will be pleased.

The hellcat guys I race with get better 60ft too just going off idle and flashing the converter as opposed to stalling it up.

Just throwing this out there for anyone with traction loss in 1 & 2. For guys not running drag tires.

1) Put shifter in S.
2) Enable drag mode.
3) Hold traction control switch up until AdvanceTrack is off.
4) Stall converter to ~1600 RPM
5) When next to last yellow goes off: Step off brake and mat throttle.
6) After the 1->2 shift; push shifter into D.

Cheers,

Well does sport drag mode cut torque or no
Yes, it will reduce the hit of 1->2 shift and this prevents the second gear loss of traction. The drag mode hit still occurs for all the other shifts after you push the shifter into D. It’s the best way I have found to run street tires at the drag strip.
Cheers,

My car with e85 tune only on crap ass 235/50/18 stock tires has been 1.82 and a couple 1.84 60fts. Those were repeated at two different tracks.

That was foot braking to around 1800rpm. Any more and it spun.

Switching to 305/45/17 ET R tires and it went 1.66. With the tire it didnt matter if I flashed the converter or foot brakes as high as possible it went the same times.
