I think that a simple "The dealer can't deliver and I want my money back" would get the job done. Since the car is still in Material Hold status and hasn't been issued a VIN, there is nothing on that car that can't be changed by a new buyer.

The dealer has agreed to give me my deposit back but he doesn't want me to post anything about the allocation. My guess is he never really had the allocation or already has someone else lined up.

In other good news, I got a deal on a 2019 R, taking delivery of it on Tuesday.

In my never ending hunt for a better deal then I already have, found a dealer today with a race red,base, tech pack, sports seats, white stripe, handling pack. Asking 10k but would take 8k and also offered to pay for shipping. Anyone interested pm me. Car is produced I think, should have in January.
