Ignoring cost issues, are there any negative effects of using the 150mm tb on a 15-17 gt whipple gen 3? 91 gas only so minimum effort - stock internals, 55lb injectors, etc etc. I don’t care if it has zero impact over a 132mm or stock tb but I’d be concerned about negative impact, ie. sluggish at low or mid range or....??

No negative effects other than it's not really needed unless you are going over 900whp or so, and even at that power level the 132 works fine. But if you want to buy once and push your power goals, then go for it.

My understanding is that Whipple doesn’t tune for the 150mm tb on 15-17 at least. Not sure who I’d end up getting a tune from but I’m trying to see if there’d be any general negative effects. I don’t want it to bog down because the 150mm tb and blower would be from a fully built setup running e85 and I’m not doing any of that.. mix of parts from separate purchases from different sources with different builds.

I'm not sure on the 15-17 cars. I added it to my '18, and they just updated the tune for it. Honestly though, the 132 is all you need.

Was there anything difference in startup, idle and or drivability noticed between the 2?

I have one and tuned by Lund, only thing I notice was my idle rpms are about 900 but that's it. No complaints here.
