With the hastle of updates, I keep asking myself, why did I sell my 66.
These cars are nice, just seems though they are advanced that the applications, methods to "update" were obsolete before even rolling off the assembly line.

I disagree. I think the updates are great and have never had issues when following the instructions. For Sync - Download files, copy to USB drive, plug drive in, wait for update to finish. Remove drive. This process is quite easy and uses current (not obsolete) technology.

You also didn’t specify what software you are referring to actually being updated. APIM/Sync is my assumption.

Well what does it update if it's a standalone? It's not hard just curious. Dealer wanted 113$ to do it. Lol

Most of the Sync 3 3.0 updates are bug fixes, or addition of support for BT phones (IMHO)
3.4 gave us more features, and 4.0 will bring even more...
