i was on the other Bullitt forum IMBOC and they were mentioning that the 2020 Bullitt now has the $1000 gas guzzler tax and showed a window sticker with it, also the average, city and highway mpg was different on the window sticker then the 2019 we have. Anyone know if this is really true? Our 2019 are listed 15 city and 24 highway while on the gov site the 2020 are listed 14 city and 23 highway, I wonder what changed or the way it is figured. Here is the link fuel economy for the 2019 & 2020 Bullitt.

My MY19 did not have a gas guzzler tax. And the destination fee was also less than the MY20 Bullitt. Don’t think anything changed drivetrain wise. Maybe the testing method changed?!

My 2019 did not either but on the link shows combined, city, highway mpg 1 mile lower. Maybe govt change testing also on link under 2019 gas guzzler tax states NO, but under 2020 gas guzzler tax states YES. So with the $1200+ price increase is also an additional $1000 gas guzzler tax, guess some still looking for a Bullitt might grab a 2019 and save over $2200+ since really no changes.

I guarantee you the window sticker was from a sales ad for a 2020 Bullitt, so yes, it's true :) :(

That appears to be part of the price increase along with the destination fee.

The base price for 2020 is $46,705, while in 2019 it was $46,595.

They probably took more realistic dyno test to cancel out ford's undertune.

One time charge no worry... you'll spend more in a year on that cell phone and get more for the $$$$

Two thoughts, gas guzzlers are usually fast, the ones I own are. Second it's a one time charge.
Considering what folks spend on cell phones every month, comparing the return on the investments.

I'd will say money well spent, great bang for the buck..
Cheers,
Pep

There are really no changes between 2019 and 2020 except that FordPassConnect is listed on the window sticker. The combined, City and Highway mpg is 1 mpg lower on the 2020. So it must be thevway tested.

More. If there was a change to the test why didn't it effect regular Mustang GT's?

If the test only changed fractions of MPG it would make sense. So the GT really made 18.4, and the BULLITT made 18.2, under new tests the GT gets 18.1 and the BULLITT gets 17.8. then GT ratings would have seemed to not change.

Yes, but rounding works both ways. 18.1 becomes 18. 17.8 should become 18 as well. Also these numbers are derived before the model year comes out. There shouldn't be two of the same cars with different ratings. Especially since one of them is going to cost $1000 more.

Depends on the regulations. Rounding down may be allowed, rounding up may not be.
