nice aftermarket wheels in the 19x9 range? I'm unsure of things like offset, and what will clear my big ass front brakes.
I suggest 9.5 wide (275/35+). It's a very common size though you can find a decent enough selection of 10-square or 10F/11R if you want to run really fat tires.
9-10" wide in 40-30mm offset are workable numbers. My 9.5 are 35mm offset.

Check out
https://support.apexraceparts.com/h...5483093-S550-Mustang-Wheel-Tire-Fitment-Guide

LMR has flow-formed 9.5 or 10-square or 10/11 sets for $1000. If you wait a couple weeks with Black Friday those prices might come down for one-off sales. I got my 10/11 set for $600 on clearance.

That would work too. 18” bits are usually cheaper but you can score some pp1 take offs all day long for cheap. Only issue is that if they have the MPS4S on them, you’re gaining a little drivability when near freezing temps, but not much. If you can score some take offs without tires, then you can get some rubber that’ll better handle those temps
Pretty sure 18s won't clear his brakes.

That’s unfortunate. Regardless of what wheels and tires you were using, with the hit that that wheel took, I think any wheel and tire would’ve met it’s end.

The brakes on the pp2 cars are the same as the pp1 cars so anything that will fit a pp1, will fit a pp2. Cheapest route, and best route I think, would be to go for some 18’s. Select 18’s will fit over your brakes, and allow for a taller tire for more cushion. Michelin Pilot Sport AS3’s can be had from tire rack in a 285/40/18 for $233/tire. A member here made a thread (I’ll link it below once I find it) about a handful of 18” wheels that fit over pp brakes. Snag a set of those, a set of all seasons of your choice, and you’re in business. Depending on what brand wheels and tires, I figure you could get a whole set up for about $1500

Of course, this doesn’t fix the massive crack in your oe pp2 wheel but that’s a repair you’d be making regardless of what you decide to do

But there is not much street tire selection in 18" Mustang (27") diameter tires. And the 18" PP compatible wheel selection is limited, and fairly expensive.

If you want real winter tires, look at the sizes they are offered in. My first thought would be to get some 19x9.5 or 10s, and run the tall 275/40R19 stock rear PP size tires all around.

SVE makes some inexpensive PP2 replica wheels.

OP didn’t state any specified size or tire type so I was suggesting the best all around option in my opinion. I’m not a fan of the 26” tires the pp2’s come with so anything closer to 27” is better. The 19” options are plentiful for sure, but there are cheaper 18” wheels to be had. And tire for tire, 18’s are cheaper

So since this PP2 thread - gearing stayed the same (transmission and 3.73 rear end) so with 26" tire, it's quite a bit shorter than PP1, right ? Anyone knows max speed in 2nd gear (out of curiosity) ?

Thanks for everyones help. I ended up with Laguna Seca Style from American Muscle (They're local) 19x9, with G-Force Comp 2s (255/40R19) on all 4 corners. Should get me through light snow, take the wifes car they're calling for more.

The dealership checked everything out and apparently there was no other damage, so I should be back on the road in no time. Phew.

Glad everything’s OK with the car. Are you planning on buying a replacement wheel and tire or just moving on?
Also, please post some pics of the new shoes.

Oh definitely replacement shoe. Already ordered it. These are strictly a winter set. Factory wheels with MPS4s in the spring :)

Exactly what I wrote - bars, springs, calibration and wider wheels. That's not a chassis. I am quite familiar with PP2, fellow local autocrosser has it. Not trying to take anything from it and not need for butt hurt but it's much closer to PP1 than to GT350. Wheels are nice (likely will buy replicas from SVE because I love the look) but they have nothing to fdo with Shelby, and chassis is exactly the same (which is obvious for anyone remotely familiar with how corporations build cars).

In fact Magneride Handling Kit likely makes PP1 (and PP2) handle better since it says that PP2 will benefit from springs and bars in this kit and Magneride calibration is same.
Not to stir the pot... but applying that logic, the GT350 is only an engine/transmission/brake upgrade with a dedicated transmission and rear diff cooler? The chassis is the same with the exception of a different nose. I have been reading here that a PP2 with rear diff cooler, long tube headers, E85 and the associated tune will negate any advantage that the GT350 has on the track.

PP1 with 27.66" @ 7500 rpm
1st = 51
2nd = 79
3rd = 117

PP2 with 26.2" @ 7500 rpm
1st = 48
2nd = 75
3rd = 110

Compared to 3.73 with 27.66", it's approximately 3.94 with 26.2". My stock PP2 will pull a friend's stock PP1. This was the only thing we could come up with. And, we've switched cars with the same results so it's not the driver.

Essentially yes. The rear knuckle and hub is a little bit different. $3500 will get you the brakes. The trans is another $3k (Magnum XL) plus a clutch. I doubt you have to do all the headers and E85. Some handling and chassis fixes (Steeda/BMR) are another $1000. So about 10 grand in upgrades and you should be comfortably close to the Shelby models.

Recall there was only 2 seconds difference between the GT350R and unmolested GT+PP2 at VIR during the Lighting Lap. The regular GT350 was not submitted. I would guess it would be 0.5s slower than the 'R'.

So i recently bought my first ever brand new car, and first ever mustang. 2019 PP2 401a, magnetic grey with red interior. I absolutely love it.

A storm of epic proportions blew through my home town last night, leaving all sorts of debrid on the road. On the way to work at 6am, I managed to run over a piece of cinder block in the middle of the road. I immediately pulled into the nearest parking lot, only to find 2 other cars awaiting a tow that had hit the same thing. (Including another mustang!)

So now I await the full damage report. Just the one wheel is going to be 1200$ with 7 day delivery. I also might as well replace all 4 tires with PS4S. But while its in I figured I might just get some winter wheels and tires. Anyone have suggestions for nice aftermarket wheels in the 19x9 range? I'm unsure of things like offset, and what will clear my big ass front brakes.

Hopefully there is no structural damage. It was quite a wallop. Anybody know how much of a beating those magnetic shocks can handle? Thanks for any insight, and wish me luck with my baby :( I hope a car with 2k miles isn't going to be forever damaged.

Bro... You have a wheel and tire warranty. Just drop the car off at Ford's night recieving box and they will call you in the morning to come pick up the car. You wont pay a dime...

Ask me how I know... Happened to me too.
