I just got a call from my dealership, they want $3,000 to replace pads and rotors all around. I haven't seen the rotors yet, but I'm a little surprised as I heard a small squeal 2 days ago and parked the car. I plan on stopping by later today to get the car and discuss the matter with my service guy (who is actually a girl). I spoke to lmr about pricing and they seem to have better prices, but no rear rotors. They have an upgrade complete kit for $2.5k which gets you everything including RED CALIPERS! Ultimately are there any outlets, other than LMR, who can beat the undoubtedly high prices that my dealership is charging for parts????

Tonight, I'll post their estimate broken down between parts and labor, but any help in the mean time is appreciated.

Do them your self for 1600 .its very unlikely your front and rear brakes need doing at the same time.

How many mile are on it.

I am getting all of my pads replaced with powerstop pads. I have 7k miles. The rotors are fine. Shop is charging me $385 to do pads and labor. Should be completed tomorrow.

The factory rotors are like 300 each but still.. take it somewhere else.

How many miles?
I get dinged on track tech inspections all the time for brake pads. The OEM pads are much thinner than many other cars, and thus the standard thickness measurement doesn't really apply. Also a little squeal is normal. These brakes are generally not super quiet.

Them: "Your pads are starting to get thin".
Me: "I fkn hope not, I literally replaced them 2 days ago and then drove over here!"

If this is the first brake job, I highly doubt you need rotors.

Anyways let's pretend for a moment you really do need both pads and rotors. You're getting hosed on pricing. It's about 1100 for a full set of rotors and sbout 400 for pads. Even if they're charging $150 an hour, it better not take them 10 shop hours for a fkn brake job.

Thanks for the input guys. I actually have 35k miles as I daily drive the car, no track time. So, I'm not at all upset with the life of the parts, I just want to avoid overpaying. I'm going to pick it up today and drop it off at a friends shop tomorrow morning. Any recommendations on vendors with good prices for oem parts would be appreciated.

I went with powerstop pads. Read good things about them for street use. Much cheaper than oem too.
