I thought so but am surprised so many did it just for cosmetic reasons. It made me think there was a legitimate purpose for it. Good to know.

I have a question. I have the mishimoto tank. I took off the side sight glass because it kept leaking and capped it off. How high do you keep the coolant in the tank?

I installed the new tank without losing any coolant. My new tank about 1/2 full.
