It's Cold In Flat Rock

Thinking about the fact that it's the first of November and, having lived in Northern Ohio during my formative years, I had a notion to check the weather in Flat Rock.

Oh yeah, it's Cold alright...FORTY-TWO right now and it's forecast to get down to forty on Monday. After that, the low goes down into the high TWENTIES!

Man, I hope my car isn't sitting outside in some damn parking lot. Ford best keep those 2-seaters in a heated warehouse somewhere.

I'm not in a hotel. I am staying with family. This particular person was a career Ford man (retired). I am blessed to have people like this in my life.

Well, that has to be better than the usual. I presume you're on days off for the visit? Cool that they're from the place we're all talking about...or at least a whole lot closer than South Tejas. :-)

Just checked and it's 40F up that way right now and the low tonight is supposed to get down to 33.

It snowed yesterday night, but warned up a bit and melted. Its getting to be that time of the year. Checklist challenge... "engine anti ice" response... "on".

I'll be home tonight. On my PC, I have an old photo of 350s and Rs sitting out on the lot in the snow. I'll post it up when I do. Stay tuned.

When I was flying 747s out of Anchorage for Southern Air, one of those de-icers hit the airplane, put a hole in it and didn't tell anyone. The airplane couldn't pressurize after takeoff and had to return for a landing. The tried to locate the de-ice guy, but he fled the scene. In his compartment they found a bunch of beer cans.

Roger on the careless de-icer. I saw a truck run right into the leading edge of our Bus one morning. That was the end of flying for that aircraft for a long while.
