Just picked up a '19 Base GT 6 speed.
Swapped in my Sync 3 conversion that I had installed in my '17 V6 car.
Swap is much easier, no media hub or cables or harness needed. Everything plugged in, working fine.

I made the changes for using the toggle switch for hazards - works fine.
Steering mode switch works fine.
Traction control on / off toggle works.

Can't get the drive mode switch to work. The switch is good - it worked just fine on my '17 as of last night.

I've tried even programming the line the same as a identical '19 GT 6 speed - but with 301A package (Drive modes / Sync 3).

Anyone successfully enabled drive modes on a '19 Base GT 6 speed and would be willing to share the data / lines needed?

Thanks.

Got it figured out and working.

NOTE: for people who might find this topic - I had to updated Forscan to 2.3.25 BETA released on 9/28, the earlier version would NOT write to the IPC on the '19 model.

So you don't need to add and change places of the wires in the harness in '19?

Isn't the radio bezel different in '19? I think the buttons are a little different color, so maybe there is some internal difference also?

You don't need or want to change any "wires". The 15-17 Premium radio bezel plugs right up and works with the correct Forscan changes. You'll simply have heated / cooled seat buttons that do nothing. And dual climate controls that aren't dual.

The firmware on the later bezel (FMIC) is different (newer) and likely there for other newer options (heated steering wheel for example).

The sync 3 APIM / touch screen and 15-17 Premium bezel plugged RIGHT up to my '19. No wiring or harnesses needed. Just programming changes.

So you also did not need to swap the GPSM module into a GPS one? Like in the 15-18 modele?

On my '19 Base GT (300A) I didn't have to change ANYTHING but the APIM / touchscreen and bezel. After programming, everything works great.

I'm looking into doing the same to my base A10 PP1 GT. Do you have Nav now? If not then what is needed to install the Nav? Also, is the APIM and touchscreen the same thing? Thank you.

With Sync 3, navigation is contained in the APIM. Mine is non-nav (I use Carplay and Waze or Google Maps). The APIM is the computer that runs Sync 3, it bolts to the back of the touch screen. If you want Nav, you need to buy an APIM that has NAV. Install it and the touchscreen and the correct front radio / AC control bezel for the larger 8" Sync 3 screen then make the correct FORSCAN changes.

I suggest you check out this thread:

Thanks very much for the reply and for the link. I understand now....Only thing I think is different now from Hextalls link is the 2019 doesn't need to upgrade the USB. Again thanks...

Not just the USB hub - you don't need a conversion harness. Everything just plugs up in the '19.

Ah yes I see that now. The 2019 seems to be the easiest and less hassle to convert. Only problem is where to find the bezel and apim. The ones online are so high. Again, thanks so much for helping me out....

I got my pieced together non-Nav swap done this weekend. Working great so far. I don't have drive modes via the switch. I would like to get that working.
