My Ford dealer loves to tease me by sending various links to their goodies-came this morning: Ford Performance shared Jay Leno's Garage Shelby GT 500 drive and impressions, with Jay and Ford's Dave Pericak.



Oddly enough, though I like GTs, Shelby GT 350s, and SuperSnakes, I've never jonesed after them. This, however..

Yes, I saw that episode. What impressed me about the 500 vs his 350 segment is that he owns a 350R. He didn't buy a 500 for what I gathered. However that may change.

And Jay was super nice about the Recaro seats as well. I love how Jay works really hard to be positive about new cars. I realize it's partially because he wants to be first in line to drive the next new car, but he could probably say a lot of negative things and still get lots of drives.

Anyway, I doubt he loves the Recaros, but he didn't say one negative thing about them.

You can tell when he loves something because he will rave over and over about it. In the GT500 he seemed impressed by how comfortable it was and the power. Makes sense to me. It didn't seem like they drove it on any twisties - maybe that will wait for later.

I'll be interested to see if Jay buys a GT500.

Xpel or ceramic the car and never worry about paint again. I prefer PPF myself..... it stops rock chips where ceramic is not as effective.
