I've seen a few at various Cars & Coffee gatherings. To my eyes it actually looks better in person than in photos. The body is curvy in an exotic way. It looks good, but the interior space is insanely tight - it makes a Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86 feel like a limo in comparison.

What I don't like about the Supra is that it's not really a Supra, or even a Toyota. It's just a BMW Z4 hardtop. All BMW driveline and other components (the parts even have BMW labels and parts numbers on them). Worst of all, there isn't even a manual transmission available in the car. Pathetic, and very sad.

I'm not sure who the target buyer is for the new Supra. The original Supra got its reputation for being a driver's car. Hard-core gearheads loved it (the whole tuner/Fast & Furious crowd). The current car has nothing of what the previous one did, other than a straight 6 engine. Plus it will have the abysmally poor reliability of a modern BMW.

I guess it might be for filthy rich Silicon Valley types who just HAVE to have a new Supra. Otherwise, no thanks.

I saw one here in NYC. I'm not impressed by it's looks, but I'd like to drive one.

I already have the 335i with the same engine and it holds a lot more and cost a lot less.
Your 2010 is on the E90 platform with either an N54 or N55 engine, same as my 2009 (N54). A 340 would be either the F30 or G20 platform (depending on the year) with a B58 engine, and they've just become boats.

I haven't seen one in person yet, but they're no slouch. With downpipe, tune, tire, and a 100 lb weight reduction, they are in the 10.90's.
Wouldnt any decent car with that done to it manage those times, I mean, stock they are not that fast at all.

there are videos of them stock beating bolt on A10's... i should say "stock" many claim the guy has stuff done to it but he swears its stock.

Ill be helping finish up SEMA prep on the speed industry Supra this Saturday.

I see them every week at the different cars and coffees I go to. Mostly people walk past them and ignore them. Me personally I think the back end looks like someone pinched a bunch of play doh together. Sat in one and wasn't that comfortable, not for me anyway. And the price... its to much for what it is. Saw a couple videos from car guys who run rental services for expensive cars. and they were selling the supras because no one was renting them.

Looks like the same 7 year old that designed the Civic Type R designed it. Way to much going on everywhere.

They really need to make a full LC-F that has performance to match the looks. The 4.5 to 60 isn’t bad, it’s just bad for the $100k msrp price-point, but you get the looks and one of the best interiors I’ve ever seen to make up for it... drop 0.5-1.5 seconds off that time and my god it could be the first non-Mustang I’d own.

Other than the largemouth bass front end it is a nice looking car. Could use a little HP though.

A "stock" Supra runs like a mid-low 12. Best I've seen stock is a 12.1, most doing 12.5 or slower. A full bolt-on A10 should be mid-low 11's. RedAlpha needed down pipes, rubber, added boost and 100 oct to get to a 11.6. People have done 11.9 in a Manual 2018+ GT with just rubber.

yeah I have no doubt it was stock when he was claim it was. Now it’s tuned and all and he is gapping GT500’s. But seems to roll race from speeds that seem to help the car. He beats cars that you wouldn’t think he should.
I’m hoping here in Vegas to break into a 11. I’ve never tracked this car, and it’s pointless to on street tires. LVMS doesn’t prep on “midnight mayhem” events. You’ll see mid 12’s on FBO A10’s and low 13’s with a manual on street tires. That’s why I thought the low 11’s for the GT500 with a very strong headwind was impressive if the track wasn’t prepped as some were stating.

I think its a slap in the face to the legendary name of Supra. Its unbelievable with the money that Toyota Corp generates in worldwide sales annually, they build the LFA, and have the Lexus LC as Elvis66 stated, yet take a BMW and rebadge it with some parts and call it a Supra. As a Toyota owner for over 26 years, this is one monumental bonehead move. Personal opinion, of course.

But, yes. One pulled up at a light next to me in the 5.0. White one. I didn't do anything, but he pulled away a bit quickly as if to make a statement.
