Looking at 2019’s most have the optional leather sports seats.
Were the Recaro seats not available?
I would like those seats as it goes with the car better, in my opinion.
Back when I had my 2017 it was just the opposite. More then not were looking for the leather soft seats including me. And mid model year I don't know if they ran out of material or not but the leather soft seats were no longer available the rest of the year. It took awhile but I finally found one with my dealerships help that had the leather soft seats a few hundred miles away at a dealership.

My 19' was purchased off the dealer lot as it had the sports seats, electronic package and carbon dash...seems to me that Ford wanted to push such items, as many 19's I found online were similarly equipped. For me it was already mid summer so ordering a new one was out of the question, but I really wanted a base GT350 and no options with the recaro's..

A real photo of the leather/alcantara seats for a 17. Anyone calling these sofa seats must not have been alive in the 70s or they would know what a real sofa seat is.

I agree. Those are not sofa seats and more like sport seats. The difference is not really important for a street/HPDE car.

I just started shopping, and I noticed this too. Literally like 99 in 100 GT350's that are on dealer lots have the non-Recaro seats.

From that, I just assumed every non-special order GT350 got ALL the options, including the heated/cooled non-Recaro seats. Because more options = more profit.

yes, we are getting fatter......
Especially if you are old enough to afford a GT350. They really need to make the wider optional Recaros from the standard GT either standard or optional. But shopping for a used GT350, I prefer cars with the Recaros even planning to remove them. Course I would remove the luxury seats too, that are just recovered standard Mustang seats (that for some silly reason, they want to charge more for).

For all of us that are fortunate to be able to fit into Recaros at our advanced age, having them is motivation to stay in shape.

I had a hard time finding the Recaro seats too and I was mostly looking at used 2017-2019. I’d say only about 20% the 18’s had them. I would have settled for the non-Recaro but I love them.

Two years ago, I test drove a 2017 GT350 and the Recaros were tight. Two years ago, I was 185 lbs. and only 5'-8" tall. They were very snug.
I bought the 2019 GT350 with the Recaro seats and when I took delivery, I was 160 lbs. and obviously still only 5'-8" tall.
The seats fit like a glove and there is no "snugness", they are perfect.
The 95th percentile male is approximately 6'-1" and 215 lbs... there is NO WAY the 95th percentile male is going to fit in those seats as well as I do, let alone all of the folks who have enjoyed good food and drink and have exceeded the 95th percentile stat.
Those seats are for the minority of buyers.

I'm 95 percentile the seats are fine for me they break in. But I have a small waist for my size.

But remember we usually get fatter as we age, and their are not many 18 year olds buying GT350s. And Americans run larger than non Americans.

While I see similar values in some places, I have also seen a value for a 95% American male at 6'3.5" and 240lbs. Maybe 30+ years old? I am 6'4" and 250.

I was 160 or 170 when I graduated high school.

I'm 6', 235lbs, and a 38" waist and I absolutely love the Recaro seats in my car. I'm also only 38 so younger than some owners so climbing out of them may be a hair easier for me than others.

I have been actively looking for a set of the comfort seats.. I have the Recaro and I do not like how they dig into my thighs. Temporary solution is I bought a 1 inch thick seat cushion from Purple. Actually works really well.. raises me up enough where I can avoid the dig.. also keeps me from wearing on the fabric. Down side is that I am not sucked in for spirited driving, but works well enough for 90% of the time.

I took my '19 to the track this last weekend with the non-recaro seats.. I was having a hell of a time shifting while sliding all over. They are great on the street, but really not-great on the track. I'll definitely be trying to get some type of harness like the quick fit for my next event. I was able to sit in one of the recaros from another shelby this weekend first time trying them, and while I fit (I'm 6'2 235) they were snug, which I guess they should be, but I feel like they would get old after a while on the street if you drive the car a lot. Hopefully the harness works or I might be looking into a swappable track seat!!

I had the Recaro’s in my 15’ GT/PP and probably would have been just as happy with the sport seats, as I thought the Recaro’s were a bit overkill for the GT, now with the GT350 I have the sports seats as it was purchased off the dealer lot and even though the Recaro’s are more challenging to enter and exit to me they should be in the GT350
