My favorite statement about the GT500 vs ZL1 from those clowns...
"You cant compare the GT500's 10.61 on a prepped strip or the 10.89 from vegas to magazine tests of the ZL1"

That's what I thought, so the GT500 in 1000 ft DA has it by .39 MPH
In October air on a DR, GT500 will beat that 10.29.
If Ford want's to give me one, I'll do it next week, although we will be in November, lol.

Too bad regarding the DCT logic on launch.
If what motortrend reported is true, it falls into line of what I initially thought.
It hasn’t been “finished”, and that leaves opportunity for further launch control logic and programming.
GTR by year 2015 or so was on LC 6

If Ford had any sense the mapping upgrades would be free or a very nominal charge. Like GM does with the Corvette.

I dont believe a "stock" redeye did a 10.2. stock power yes, 100% he had a tire of some sort on there. its just not happening, especially at only 132mph. redeye video invalid unless you can see the rear tire in same video
I like the idea of no LC and having to peddle it yourself. more work, sure, but once a tire is on it, makes it much less intrusive and more on the driver, which will in the long term, provide the best times. IMHO
per tremec, power is limited in 1st gear and 1-2 shift for longevity. the car will be a rocket with some basic modding

What's this a fast list 10.2@132 for the redeye? The stock fast list is a waste of time on most forums. My GT went from a stock 12.4 to a 12.2 with a tune. At Atco On street tires. Nobody could see the tune. People there know Im a decent driver. They would of backed me up if I claimed stock. The bitchin 4 or 5 guys are doing on the VS section. About evans time is hilarious. Over on Camaro6. Because 10 years ago. He was a god to them. When he ran a LS1 powered camaro to a high 12.

exactly. I was present the day Joe C ran his z06 record at Atco, same day i set the record with the M3.. "stock" is highly subjective to begin with.... add to that known "misrepresentation" and its only good for compiling times
what page #, im over there stirring the pot.. or at least returning the favor ;)

Their probably the same guys that said I was full of crap when I posted my 99 SS bone stock time of 12.9 @ 108! Of course I got the usual Cecil is down hill but I always replied that it's down hill for everyone. Even when I had my Camaro I couldn't stand bowtie forums. I'm looking forward to seeing what a stock GT 500 can do at Cecil!
