For me, the deciding factory was safety. There's no way to do any kind of SFI Housing on a mt82. If something blows and starts flying, you better hope its flying downwards or straight up.

Well I just finished installing a Calimer stage 3, w/ a Mantic clutch. I will be pushing the hell out it, with 900+. Once I get everything broke in, I'll let you know how it holds up.

I have a stage 3 calimer mt82 love it. Put about 600 miles on it so far .It does have some more noice mostly in first gear but nothing overwhelming

So far so good with the stage 3? Do you drag the car? Power shift? How much power are you making?

BUY ONE! First weekend out with it and ran 9.6 @ 149 no lift shifting. Awesome transmission!

Nice! Has the whine gotten worse over time?

Also, are you running the stock shifter?

I have a stage 3. I installed it last summer. It shifts flawlessly with minimal whine. The exhaust drowns the whine out lol. Probably overkill for my setup but I installed the CENTERFORCE DYAD clutch.
