Hey guys, just picked up this car with the following mods.

Whipple 2.9L Gen2 (3.75 pulley)
ID1000 Injectors
BBK Catless Longtube Headers
Roush Axle-back with X-Pipe
JMS PowerMAX V2 Boost-a-pump
Some brand intake kit?

Car is tuned on E-85 putting down 717whp.

What do I need to do to get this car to 850+whp on e-85 in the most cost effective way? Would also love to see 775+whp on 91 if possible?

I also want it be able to have multiple tunes switchable on the fly. Would like e85, 91, 93, 100 octane tunes.

Thank you for any help, I'm completely new to this platform.

You’re not going to get to 775rwhp on 91 and to get to 850 on E85 you’re going to need a full return fuel system and to pulley down. Most tuners won’t tune for E85 without the return fuel system, some have done it in the past but won’t now.

Yeah 717whp on E85 is pretty low. Without the full fuel system you probably ain't seeing the full potential of the E. On Just pump gas I made 709whp with no longtubes. Car did 685whp on the whipple calibration. I'm on a 3.6 now with longtubes and seeing 11psi and seeing 740-750whp and traps 136mph, still on pump gas. I would think with a full return style fuel system on that 3.75 pulley you should be at the 750whp level at least.

Was it a Mustang dyno or Dynojet? I just got 714 from my setup on a Mustang dyno with a 93 tune.

^ saying you have a 93 tune and then saying you have meth injection kinda invalidates the 93 part. On straight 91 or 93 you won't be able to re ally make that much without knock.

And that’s why I have the meth. It’s only there to stave off knock, I’m not using it to run an aggressive tune. Just passing along options to the OP.

You could call lethal performance and tell them what you’re wanting to do. If you’re not in a hurry, they will have the kits on sell for Black Friday.

Ok, may get a fuel kit from Lethal soon.

3.375" Griptec pulley? Car will be in Denver at altitude, typically 8k+ DA.

Does anybody know what intake I have? And is there a better option?

Is the nGuage my best option for having a 93, 100, and e85 tune for the car that I can change myself at anytime? Being at altitude, I'd prefer to have it dynotuned locally for each fuel instead of mailorder tunes.

Also, previous owner thought the throttle body was stock....it looks like an upgraded into to me, Whipple 132mm?

That’s a 150mm Cobra Jet intake, and appears to be the 132mm tb. Nguage would be just fine and is easy to change tunes with. If you prefer to get a Dyno tune, there are usually people affiliated with tuners like PBD that use the ships Dyno and is still tuned remotely. Even after a Dyno tune it may need to be tweaked a little for street driving.

Nice car, I saw it for sale on Facebook and of course the idiots trying to pay 26k for it...lol

Like others have stated, you're gonna need a return style fuel system and a smaller pulley. I'd go ahead and run a 3.25 pulley. My current combo is a gen 2 Whipple with a Fore return system with 2 Walbro 465's, 3.375 pulley, and id1050x injectors. Not sure what it makes currently because its just email tuned by PBD, but it traps 140 tagging the limiter in fourth a bit before the traps. Need to go down to a 3.31 gear with this power level.

Car made 725rwhp on the Whipple tune with a 3.625 pulley btw.

725 with the Gen 2 on the whipple tune? Thats Awesome! I have a 3.625 pulley i am planning to run with a return system on E85 and a Gen 2 blower. My goal was 750rwhp.

Yea car ran great on the Whipple tune had no complaints, just wanted to make the switch to E85 for some more power. Rob at PBD has been great as well and the car runs damn hard now!

If you're going to E85 and a return system I would definitely go down to a 3.375 pulley at the least and you'll be over 800. I'm gonna pulley down to the 3.25 next year and that's probably where I'll stop with the 6 rib setup.

Nothing great...lol! Was my first time to the strip with this car ever and first time in 6 years. Best run was a 10.5 with a 1.68 60'. On that run I decided to short shift each gear and shift into 5th way before the traps just to experiment. The other runs I blew the launch's and ran a 10.7 with a 1.8 and I think an 11.2 with a 2.2. All at 140 except for the 10.5 run when I short shifted which was at like 136.

I think with some 3.31 gears and a bias ply the car will go real low 10's at 142-144 fairly easily, but I'm not a track rat by any means. The radial tires aren't very forgiving with the manual trans...
