No real surprises here. It’s a heavy bastard.

No mesh in those lower front grill openings........I can see some expensive radiators being replaced when hit by debris..

Some 911 models have the same issues with huge grill openings with no mesh. Porsche will gladly sell them to you for extra money. There is a place in the UK that makes grill mesh protectors by hand that are really nice. They use thick wire and jig moulds to make the form for the opening and then use metal mesh welded to it. They will powder coat them too.

Yes. That would be ZunSport. If someone with a GT500 contacts them they are always looking for development vehicles.

I see grill screen in the rolling pictures. There is protection for all the radiators.

I've been thinking about this topic quite a bit lately.

IMO, despite them being within spitting distance in cost, down the road I feel like a late GT350R will be the one to have versus the GT500.....

Watched a few reviews today. Wish I could find one that talks about how the extra weight feels pushing on the track, and some numbers comparing what the extra hp can do over a R, depending on what track that is.

Seems odd all the reviews are from the same press event. Maybe that's normal but I think will be a little while till we get more in depth reviews.

Good compare and contrast to the GT350

I thought this individual did a very good and thorough review and had a very good knowledge of all the various aspects of the new GT500.

What I did not quite understand was his car having 2 back seats when it was my understanding that he was piloting a GT500 that came equipped with the CFTP option!

In any event I appreciated his comments with respect to his overall driving preference being with the GT350R versus the new GT500 and suggest that I may end up with the same opinion come next Spring when I take delivery of my new car.

Well done and thanks for posting!

These are all from the same press event. Manufacturers do this all the time, look at all the initial Supra reviews at the same track. Give it time and we'll get much more in depth reviews like you said. These are all initial impressions. So far they're pretty good though!

Really good review. Liked the Cammisa reference too.
