Most of you guys know I ordered a 2020 GT Premium and the dealer said it will be built on October 5th. This afternoon I get a call from my dealer and he said Ford has pushed back production till the end of October. I wish, just for once, the B/S would stop and you could get the proper info the first time.

Well that sucks. I'm sorry you're having to wait an extended period.

Try to look at it this way: it will be that much sweeter when you finally get it!

I know....easy to say when you aren't the one pacing the floor.

Agreed and thanks. I have been down this road many times as I always order what I want rather than buy a car off the lot.

Out of curiosity, how much was the deposit the dealer required to order your vehicle?

Sorry to hear that. Flat Rock Assembly is working on Mustangs only four days a week (maybe less), the rest of the time is spent fixing Explorers and Aviators. See the article below for more details.

Wrong wheels and trim pieces to boot. Some of us here are familiar with that problem :giggle:

Either there's a lot of overworking going on, causing a lapse in judgement, or there's a batch of new hires on the floor. Then again, I genuinely have no idea how much of the process is automated as opposed to labor so I guess I can't joke too much.

Believe it or not He did not request a dime as my car will be included with his "Stock Order" for the 2020 cars. So now the car will arrive earlier than a Special Order vehicle. My last two orders from this dealer were Special Orders and they took forever.

Why not get a 2019? Don't think there is a difference other than paint.

My Dealer called yesterday afternoon and said my car in now in production and should arrive early November. Originally I ordered the car in "Red Hot Metallic" which has been changed to "Rapid Red" (Same color) It's a lot like "Ruby Red" which has been discontinued. My 2015 GT was R/R and I really liked the color. We shall see.

I currently own an 18 with 11,000 miles on the clock. My thinking is to go with the 20 and get the benefit of any upgrades or tweaks to the drivetrain or suspension.
