I already have an anitgravity battery. That along with a long laundry list of stuff will get the weight down

Carl was definitely vacillating when answering the weight question.

He stated the base variant is 4100 + change, but that number is quite a bit lower than the 4250 that has been floating around.

And the "plus change" statement is really vague. Still a moving target IMO.

yeah, interesting.

It does appear some number may be “updated” tomorrow - including HP. I won’t be surprised to see another 25 tacked on.

Hell, even 40 to make it start with ‘8’.

Those are the rumour floating around right now.

There's no need for baseless speculation. If you go to media.ford.com and go to the mustang section, there's a 2020 Mustang Tech Spec Sheet which states the weight of every model except the CFTP. The base is listed as 4171 which corroborates 4100 and change. For those lazy I will give a direct link here

And it makes sense. The weight reduction of the R vs the regular 350 is 120#. Simple math dealing with similar components.

That was the base R.

You won’t see those reduction because of the backup camera/radio.

90-100 is my guess.

I wouldn't worry about the wieght of the car too much when many of the driver's need to lose weight.

Keep in mind for those of us that did not order Option Code 67T (Technology Package) for our 2 seat cars we will be eliminating 12 B&O speakers, subwoofer in the trunk, heated and memory mirrors as all of those reductions will help in addition to the rear seat delete, CF wheels and CF wing.

:)

4171 was a number floated around not to long ago that some shot down because of the 42XX number that was floated out. Just goes to show you what a little misinformation can do.

It is going to be some good fun to see the information come out on these cars and people can get the real deal.
