because nobody is going to the track to say LOOK AT ME!
really? Seems that's what the whole 'scene' is about. And seeing as how many thousands of folk are hanging onto every 0.1sec report as do-or-die, pass/fail, can I live with the ridicule of losing to XYZ car should I buy one...

Where's Hanging Chad when you need him?

What a day, its starting to get fun. I started the day a little disappointed but now reading all the comments i feel better about the 11.3 and other low 11 runs.

Also since im a novice track guy im happy to hear these other newbies are still getting good times and performance.

If you guys want the ultimate in pointless bench racing, there was a Hellcat challenge in Vegas a while back. The winner (charger) went [email protected] with tune, pulley, and ET streets. Second place (Challenger) was an 11.17@124, on a set of 555Rs.

I found this while trying to get some sort of idea on how these cars are running.

What i want to know is did any of them "grenade" during the press days (notorious for beating cars). I agree - conditions are not optimal and if the car is consistent it speaks to the cooling and the diligence they did in creating a killer car.

Doesn't there have to be *just massive* improvement in engine output, let alone launch control to find half a second, let alone 1.3? Is the 9.42 car going to be running nitrous, drag slicks and in a vacuum? Or did it get dropped out of a Herc at 15,000 ft with booster rockets strapped to the undercarriage?

What's the sustained G necessary to get those 1/4 mile times? (I'm not familiar with the math)
The key metric, that none of us know, are the 60ft.
It plays the ultimate roll in ET, but also a significant factor in MPH.

Im betting the best ETs are with 2.0-2.1
Meaning plenty of room for improvements.

Using that, all that is required for mid 9s is a good 1.4, and add about 150-200rwhp, which is only a pulley tune e85 and drag radials away.
Mind you, radials alone will get 1.5-1.6, 1.7 60s.

13-14 GT500s ran high to mid 11s stock, what hurt them was rear end gearing and the T56 not liking to shit fast at all. Guys who went to 3.73s and a upgraded shifter where running low 11s no problem
13-14 GT500 came with a T56?

These cars will be monsters.

The carryover from the gt/350 platform means the go fast goodies are already on the shelf.

Hush now with your rational mind, people will be offended

I am extremely excited for what’s to come over the next few weeks. Embargo ends, times released, all summed up with personal impressions as the car finally delivers to the enthusiasts who bought them. Good times, good times.

I didn’t read all 8 pages, but LVMS isn’t the best to release numbers. Just last week we had a 1150+whp A10 run a 10.3 here, many FBO A10’s running high 11’s and FI cars low 11’s when they should be much much faster. 18+ FBO 6 speeds running 13’s. Though they don’t prep the track on the midnight mayhem events. Still you’ll have cars run 12 here and run down to SoCal the next week and drop into 11’s easy..

11.0@128 in 2500da? the car will go 10.7 or better when the northeast heros get their cars.
Especially in these months. It's nice and cool during the day. Evening time, even cooler.
This is a very interesting thread though. I will be on the lookout.
I think the DCT and nice drags will make all the difference.

Solid times for poor conditions! I'm looking forward to seeing them run here on the east coast in some good air!
