So I have a 2016 GT PP. Bone stock today i drove 1053 miles 15.5 hours straight got 28mpg between fillups and a total average of 26.5mpg for the entire trip. I've found if you set the cruise at 70mph the car basically runs on bald eagle dreams or something. It barely drinks fuel.

I've owned this car for 3 years and it still baffles me how the hell ford can put 435hp in a car that weighs almost 4k lbs with 3.73 gears and I can load it up with a bunch of crap and still get 28mpg!! How... Is this even possible.

Computer was saying I could do 415 miles per tank thats Mind Blowning

I'm sorry but had to share this with someone. What's the longest road trip you've done with your car? And what kinds of mpg were u seeing?

Good on you, brother. I drive my GT PP1 12 miles to work and back each day, flooring it between each stoplight. I dunno, 14MPG at best. I don't care. I spent my whole working life driving gas-sipping Hondas. I paid my price. Someday I'll take this thing out on the highway and see what y'all are talking about. For now - I stop at the gas station every other day. Vroom vrooom.

Our last 1000+ mile trip, we averaged around 27 at 80+ mph. We are headed back to Texas first weekend in November so we will see how it does. It will be 500+ miles one way plus some side trips. The worst thing is driving the interstates now is like driving a obstacle course. I have never seen so much debris on the roads as there is today, especially 18 wheeler recap tire blowout chunks. BTW, I use the Gas Buddy App to keep track of mileage.

I'll be taking a fairly long trip next year, most likely to New England area and up to Maine so I expect to put a couple thousand on it then. If not that trip then either next year or the year after I am planning my long 3ish week "outwest" trip. That trip will be around 7k miles or slightly more I believe last time I looked.

That's some great mileage. I've made the drive 1000 miles each way to visit family in TN a couple times, but I usually do it in about 14hrs so I'm not getting 28mpg. It's been a couple years so my memory is a little foggy but I think it was more like 22mpg. I used to drive from Fort Worth to Nashville on one tank in my TDI, but these days I don't mind stopping to stretch my legs every few hours.

6 weeks after I bought the car I did 3600 miles across 6 states in 6 days. In the pic below, I had just filled up in El Paso, TX. I had not reset the MPG, in fact never have reset it. It reads 31.3 today as lifetime average. Look at the DTE!

I did a 1000 mile trip and averaged 16mpg. I thought that was pretty damn good.

Considering I ran 80mph the whole time. Oh and was on E85 with a stage 2 whipple.

2700 miles recently. New York to Florida and Florida to New York. 28.5 mpg

The worse part was New York thru Baltimore either way on I95. So much traffic and tailgating at high speeds WTF I hated it. I’d get tailgated in the middle lane what’s wrong with people.

Is the 6MT or the A10 better at highway mileage? Which has lower rpm at highway speeds?

I would suspect it has more to do with the final drive. And the 10 speed may give better mileage

My car does 2000rpm at 70mph with 3.73 gears. I do wish I had another gear or 6th was a slightly lower ratio for highway.

That said, with the pp 6th gear is a general driving gear like a 4th gear on other cars and a lower ratio would make the car boggy lol so ford probably knows what they are doing lol lol

If you look at my pic above, I'm at 2175rpm at 80mph in 10th gear. RPM does not vary much on uphill/downhill, but the vac/boost varies a lot. I guess the turbo does most of the work.
