I am saying in theory I would take the 992 if I am approaching a $100k car. My response was when comparing the 911 to a GT500 which is going to be more than $100k if fully outfitted and with ADM. I agree with you on the GT PP2, but Ford didn't fit it with a tranny and diff cooling as it would be competing directly with the GT350.

To the post above yours regarding the lack of a manual tranny, the 7spd manual will be coming at a later date.

I get heartburn with that response. If I was looking at $100k for a car, where would I come up with the extra $20k I'd still need for a 911S? I feel as though you are just unjustifiably ripping the Mustang. Maybe there's something I'm missing and you can explain your good reason for rounding WAY UP on the Mustang price and rounding WAY DOWN on the Porsche price to try to come up with some sort of equivalency.

I'd rather go with the GT350 and have a LOT of money left over. Nearly as much left over as I spent on the car!

I don't think the 911S is twice the car that the GT350 is. Even if they were the same price, I don't think I'd want the 911.

These GT350's are no doubt a great performance bargain at MSRP in comparison , but damn even the used ones 4 years old asking for 50k ridiculous, they might as well ask for MSRP what are these people smoking.

That's SOCAL distortion. But your larger point is valid - GT350 owners are under the illusion their depreciation schedule should match Porsche's. They are both premium brands and superlative driver's cars. :)

My one-owner 2019 Mustang GT350 #1868 is my best car ($60K). I think the FPC engine will soon be recognized as one of best Ford engines ever made.

I just bought four new Michelin tires from a sponsor here. The car has Michelin 295-35 R19 Pilot 4S tires on the front with 325-30 R19 Pilot 4S on the rear. It drives great on any road or track.

I can compare it to my 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo that has a little more HP with some more handling ability. I've already ordered a new car to replace it:

Don't know what they are smoking. I purchased my 2016 tech package with 7,500 miles on it in 12/19 for $43,800. It currently has 26k miles on it and it is easily worth $50k.

Well I’ve had three 911s and two GT350’s, and I’d say that no, the performance differential does not justify the price differential. It was a 997.1, 997.2 and a 992.1 all manual C4S. I traded the 991.1 in for a CT4 V Blackwing. The maintenance on the new 991.1 was high, a 4 year service can run close to 5k as does the 6 year service. It had RAS and PDCC, which requires a li battery and lots of service to keep in top running condition. The RAS requires a new Porsche battery every 6 years, and it’s over 3k in itself. I had some red neck in a truck with a trailer hitch back up last January, then he took off…the headlight was busted….no way to fix it….cost me 5k for the headlight and 500 to get it installed….it had to be coded and aimed with PSWIS. So be warned, yes the 911 is a great car, but expensive to maintain.

I’m really liking the 4 Blackwing. It’s got the Tremec and the upgraded interior seats and the data recorder. The chassis is very nimble and with a V6 turbo, not a V8, it’s also very balanced. The level of chassis adjustments is big, multiple choices for the suspension, steering, braking, exhaust and traction control. If I use V mode and max it all out, it’s really not drivable on the backroads….you gotta be on a track. The aero on it works well, the faster you go the more downforce you get. I might upgrade to the bigger spoiler and rear wing too. The interior is nice, full digital display and the center stack screen looks nice and easy to use. I considered a Dark Horse, but I really hate that tacked on iPad interior.

Lindsay Cadillac in Va has one in stock, and it's got the CF 1 and CF2 package and it's a six speed with upgraded seats and the data recorder. Black with bronze wheels. GM is offering up great deals on these now with a 4K discount.
