I've had to do multiple data logs. I do it on a local bridge that I've never seen a speed trap on.

Mine runs incredibly smooth and strong at idle, low rpm's, mid range, tip in, after shifting gears, wide open throttle, and all through boost with my Lund tune. No driveability issues EVER, no hesitation EVER, no problems, EVER. It can't run any better than what it does.

A remote tune is a real tune, as much or moreso than a "dyno tune", in the past the main reason dyno's are used is to get an a/f ratio reading out of one of the tailpipes, these mustangs have 2 widebands from the factory, so the car can read and see everything thats going on already, they can read camp profiles, a/f, spark, etc..

the other reason is the speed on the street, if you have somewhere safe on the street, that you can wot, then you'll have no issues getting a complete tune on the car.

now, when the new models come out , there is a learing curve to the cam profiles, etc.. that guys like lund spend alot of time on the dyno, figuring out whats going to make the most power, once they have all that information in their data banks, their really is no longer a "need" for you to be on a dyno, there isn't anything wrong with it, but you can get the same tune on the street

I have experience with AED, Lund, Sai Li and a local dyno tuner on my turbo 5.0 and our Whippled 5.0 we've used just Lund.

The bottom line is the remote tune, with proper datalogging, can be as good as the dyno tune. Our Lund car runs 8's and was dyno'd only 200hp ago. We ran our PB with a remote tune by Lund. We've used them for a decade and they dial in every one of our cars.

AED/Sai both had my car dialed in (in different stages... NA vs FI). I would not hesitate to use either of these guys. I would also throw PBD's name in the hat.

We have multiple articles talking of all the tuners available here at Lethal and how to go about datalogging/tuning/etc. You can datalog on the street on a track, or on a dyno whichever is easiest for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions at all.

Did that require u WOT the car on street? How fast did u have to go to get logs?

Bad things can happen going above posted speed limits, just saying
You could always have your tuner set your max. Vehicle speed to the posted speed limit.

Thanks all, I appreciate the feedback.
Given that it's a 2016(not a new platform) and that I'm also not trying to squeeze every once of HP I'm leaning towards a remote tune.
I might still take it to a dyno just to validate hp/tq/af ratio at a later time.

That's a great idea.. There are other bench-marking devices, like a Draggy for example, that can be used. If we can help out at all, just ask. #teamlethal

The wot datalog will be in whatever gear is 1:1. From whatever rpm your tuner specifies generally to redline

In my lightning I pull 2500-6000 and go from about 65-135

I haven’t done a dyno tune on my past 3 cars, doesn’t make any sense to me, dial it in on the street and finish it up at the track. Unless you have crazy cheap rates for dyno by you it a waste to me, if you want to see that big number get it dialed in at the track then hit the dyno and make a couple of pulls.
