I learned a valuable and expensive lesson on paying attention to detail. Swapped out the foam cannon for a different tip to rinse off my car. Then this happened. Always give a spray toward the ground first. I didn’t secure the tip properly on the pressure washer gun.

Holy crap! Sometimes you have days where your purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others....... :)

It just hit the glass? No paint damage?
Sounds like you got lucky. If it had hit the 1/4, dented it, chipped paint, you'd need body work and a blend spray job. Not cheap unless you do it yourself or know someone who does.

Unless it’s glare, I see scratches on the door and just below the window. I hope I’m wrong. :frown:

Just hit the glass, so I got lucky. If it had damaged the paint to the point it needed body or paintwork I would of sold the car.

I did that the other day. But it shot over the car and into the road. Never again will I aim it remotely close to my car again!

Ouch... that sucks. I’ve had the experience of a pressure washer nozzle shooting off at rocket speed, but luckily that was against the vinyl siding on our house...just bounced off it...

Check out eBay - there’s always S550 rear 1/4 glass listed on there for very fair pricing. Trying to buy that through Ford will most likely cost you upwards of $800...

Damn. At least the window can be replaced, as opposed to if it had hit a body panel... although I've seen some PDR guys work some real magic on dented panels.
