if you are talking about PP brembo calipers? The logo is lost since it is originally painted on and you have to resort to a high temp decal to put the logo back on after painting or paint the logo on with a stencil. How do you go about the lettering? Do you peel that off and get new ones?
Yup, PP Brembos as my GT has the Brembo lettering. No way in hell I would be able to put the lettering back on like original. High temp decal sounds doable though will look around for those. I would choose a color that stands out when it comes to caliper colors. I really like the way my red calipers stand out against my black wheels and black car.I am still thinking of painting mine, but not sure what color to go with, probably some matching gray for both calipers or go all black or red? rear is more silver than the fronts. I already have custom high heat Continental decals on the fronts and they are holding up fine so far on the base coating. Well the 4 pots are made by Continental Automotive so I felt it would look more accurate with the Continental logo than "brembo".
I ordered the orange they had pre made for an s197 color. You can't tell the difference, especially behind the wheel. Is this their standard G2 orange color or did you order it to match the Orange Fury? That looks like a pretty close match!
Probably not a good idea to powder-coat if you want to track the car. Powder-coating is okay to maybe 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Serious track work requires brake fluid rated for around double that. Do the math. Caliper and other high temp paint are fine. Brembo and other caliper makers say you should not powder-coat.Me personally, I got a second set of calipers base GT 4 piston calipers for $50 to dissassemble, sandblast and powder-coat,
They do look great. Where did you go to get that done?I had mine professionally painted for $395.00 and they look amazing
Dang, that looks great, and appears to be a pretty close match to Orange Fury, probably more than close enough for a caliper sitting behind a wheel.G2 standard color Orange on my Grabber Blue PP Brembos...
