New to the forums. Been around Mustangs my whole life. My grandpa owned a FORD dealership, and i spent lots of time running around there. Couldn't afford the Bullitt the wife loves, so bought a new 18 200a manual with some options and leather Recaros. Its' name is PELLITT. I like the 4 cyl. Hate the Recaros and wing on the back. Going to do homework on replacing wing with small lips style to fill the factory holes. Also need to find leather premium seats with power adjust. Hoping to learn some hidden tricks, add more cool to it, and find ways to improve it. Bought the car for travel. For all I know the wife will ditch the car completely. Joined the Mustang Brotherhood on Saturday, when I picked up my brand new 2020 Velocity Blue GT. Really enjoying it so far...an amazing car. Went with the manual, and its a base car with a few upgrades (301A package, different wheels, and spare wheel/tire). Will be my daily driver, not going to track it or really drag race, so stayed away from the various performance level upgrades. I like it just as it is. I have received a ton of compliments on the color, and I really like it a lot.

Figured I needed to add a Mustang to the inventory somewhere in my life, and after seeing a bunch of late model Mustangs on my commute every day, they really grew on me. Have lurked here for a while, gathering info, and ordered it on 9/4/2019. X-Plan pricing was a great perk that I found out about because of these forums.

Brand new to the 6G forum and performance cars in general- just purchased a used 2018 GT and was wondering if someone can help answer a few questions!

The used GT has a JLT intake equipped and I recently found out it that this specific intake requires a tune. I am assuming the vehicle is tuned because of this. Since the car only has 3k miles I was hoping to keep the manufactures warranty.

Is there a simple way to check if it is tuned and if so then remove it and replace with the stock intake? If re flashed to stock with the original intake would Ford accept the warranty or know of prior tunes?

Hello! First time Mustang GT owner. The Performance Pack 2 rescued me back from the grips of an Audi S6. The Mustang is MUCH more exhilarating to drive.
I've had many Fords over my life, and in these times of uncertainty I decided to continue to buy American.
1996 Ford Ranger -> totaled. 1998 Crown Vic -> Drove until it seized. 1990 Ford Probe -> Sold after burned out clutch at 150k miles. 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum, which I grew to hate, when I got smoked by an economy car. Went Audi S6, but the constant worry about someone fucking up nearly a $90k car had me too stressed out to enjoy it.
But a Ford? Great parts availability, reasonable prices, great performance and upgrade-ability. I think I've found my locomotion carriage home. Just send it!
2019 Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack 2 = awesome. Blowing people out of the water bone stock! But I added an MGW X-spec short shifter, and now its drives like a ballistic missile.

I've been on these forums before but it was with a 2016 EcoBoost Premium Mustang that I thought I was going to purchase after it's lease ran out. I stumbled upon this used 2018 GT that had one single owner that only had 7,000 miles on it before trading it in for another vehicle. MSRP was around $42k for this car in 2018. It has the 301A package with the Performance Pack 1 and a 6 Speed Manual Transmission. The car is an absolute blast and it was sold to me at barely over $30,000. I had to go for it and I'm so very glad I did!

So I have been a long time guest on this forum for a few years but finally bought a 2019 GT with the PP2 package. This is my first Mustang and I normally was more of a Camaro guy until the S550 came out. I have owned import cars before this with a couple of Hyundai Veloster Turbos (while most people don' care for these hatchbacks, my first one was awesome) before and a 2017 Subaru WRX being the most recent one, so this is a big change for me. While looking at new cars this was a contender with the Kia Stinger GT, Genesis G70, 2018 or 2020 Camaro SS, and some used performance cars. In the end this won out and I couldn't be happier, and I hope for many great memories and this car and am glad to be a member of this forum!

My fun car right now is a Superformance Cobra replica. I built the 520 cube (that's 8.5L for your metric types) 385 series big block for it and it gets me into trouble pretty easily.

Hey Yo!! My name is Adam and I've been a mustang guy as long as I can remember. except 1998-2004.. not sure what happened in those years lol. I've owned an 08, 14, and finally a 15 to keep for better or worse. I joined because I have put some miles on my 15, 115,000 to be exact and I recently have had an engine issue. Hi. JohnM here from New Jersey. I've previously owned two Mustangs. #1 was my first car, a `68 289. #2 was a 4th Gen GT convertible.

I've joined to help me research the purchase of #3, which probably will be a 5.0 GT. So I'll mostly sit back and learn about S550's.
