I was talking with a local Ford salesmen and he said they have sold two new Golden Ticket GT500s for $140k. They have three non Track Pack cars on order that will be sold for $104k.

Not FAKE News
I was surprised that a local dealer has access to 5 GT500s.
It's going to be interesting to see how long people will pay the high ADMs and what the resale value will be in the first couple years.

ADM thread ??? not again !!!!
Dealers are buying and selling allocations on a dealer marketplace. I personally talked to a
Vegas dealer that was getting 50 K over on GT500 track packs. Probably paying 10-20K over and making
20-30K profit by rolling them over. Cars in most cases are not investment's, at least in this case, I'm not buying
to make a profit, I'm buying for enjoyment and for the love of Mustangs/Shelby's

Cars are like stocks. It takes all kinds of buyers to make a market. I made good money buying when the market was down. That keeps the market from collapsing. So what does this have to do with new Shelby's? Some of us watch and then buy after things calm down.
Enjoy your Shelby, I think they are great cars.

These cars are not like stocks !!! When was the last time a car paid a dividend or appreciated 500%. That being said they
can hold their value and in that sense they could be a hedge.

Meh 140k ? peanuts ! My dealer sold their allocation for 150k....Sold the next for 145k I guess the people talked them down 5k lol....and are selling their base allocation 15k over.

The dealer will sell what people are willing to pay for. Give it 2 years and the prices will be normal.

It will depend on how good the car is and how many they build. If the car is amazing like the GT350R and built in similar quantities, there could be ADMs for more than 2 years.

I’m not willing to wait 2 years and I am not a wheeler dealer, could not find a MSRP, hence I’m paying ADM. I can afford it

I thought this was a very limited production car that is only going to build 1,250 CFTP's??? How did he get 5 cars???

Good question, why would a dealer sell a allocation for ~ 110-120k when they could retail it for more, less work ???

Others have said they can buy from other dealers. As you might guess dealers in small towns don't have the same amount of interest in these cars.

I paid 5k adm on my GT350. 30k adm or whatever is insane. I love the GT500 but I’d rather go buy a C8 before paying that kind of mark up.
