Another Yuengling Connoisseur here...

Does anyone on here own a brewery or has made their home brew into a successful production run?

I asked some of the Indians I work with about IPA and they don't like it or know how it got that name.

Maybe the addition of hops originated from hops grown in India?

I don’t know either, just a half sloshed guess.

Red wine tonight.

Red ales! I got this major thing for red ales! Just about anybody's is good as long as they don't go stupid and overdose the hops and add citrus crap. To my mind with hops more is less, use the minimum you need. And citrus anything has no business being in beer. Period.

Stouts, Porters and Reds. But NO IPA’s. Hate the heavy hop taste. For me, drinking an IPA is like drinking a boiled out evergreen tree. :puke::puke::puke::puke:

Same for me but I would add sours, shandys, and hefes. For me IPAs are like drinking a bouquet of flowers.

It's nothing a few ounces of lemon lime soda can't cure, lol
Seriously, when I try one that's too hoppy, this will make palatable.
I agree with your choices except make my red an Irish one.

Thought about starting a thread like this, now THIS I can get into :D I'm on several other beer related sites/threads, so I've already got a ton of content :)

Recently picked up both of these, two of our favorite seasonals:

Eeeeeeeeewww.

Not a fan of pumpkin beer. I much prefer beer-flavored beer, the hoppier the better.

These are currently stocked in my office beer fridge :D

Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' (94)
Lagunitas Super Cluster (91)
Arrogant Consortia Arrogant Bastard (93)
Terrapin Luau (88) *
Cigar City Jai Alai (95) **

* Actually prefer the Stone Tangerine for this sort of beer, but Terrapin was BOGO!

** Don't think for the availability (especially around here) and price, there's a better IPA on the planet :D

It has to be done right, the underlying beer has to be kickass, and the pumpkin has to have the right balance of the fruit and the spices.

Southern Tier does almost no wrong, not unlike Founders.
