I saw your post on COMR, I just became a mod there. I think you said you raised the shaker up a bit. When I owned my 04 DSG Mach1 there was a shaker spacer that lifted it up more. Not sure if that is what you used or not. I think it lifted the stock shaker on a Mach1 too much IMO. Car looks great and I'm glad to see you put the Tribute sticker on there. Honestly it's treading on a fine line but the sticker makes it so much better. We know you are not trying to pass it off as something it is not.

** Raised looks MUCH better!

Not sure a sticker is required as there is no 6G Mach1 to fake, sadly.

Finally all cleaned up and ready to ship it to California for its cross country drive to my new home in TN. Where I can finally get part cheaper to continue to work to make this car a true tribute to the disappearing Mach1 Mustang.

I tried finding the 1” billet aluminum spacer they used to sell but can’t find them. it’s very difficult to find part since it was such a limited run 03-04. Beefcake racing has a spacer which I ordered two the had to recut expiry together, add spacers and drill new holes that actually lined up with bolt holes that’s what I ended up with. When I get to TN I’ll try and find a shop that can cut me one to make it level like how I see it in my head.

Hawaii to Tenn, talk about change! My mother's side is all from Tenn, just below Nashville. Thanks for your service!

I kind of like it. I wish you could make it functional though. I prolly wouldn't put the mach1 stickers on it. I understand the tribute thing but I would have personally left the Mach 1 off it. Let people see it and appreciate it. You are a lot braver than I am when I came to cutting the hood. Hope you enjoy it and its great to see someone try something new.

That took some stones to cut a big hole in a perfectly good hood. It was bad enough drilling 9 holes in my trunk for a spoiler. Well done to creating something unique and interesting.

Those first pictures looked ropy as hell. But now you've finished it and got it all cleaned up it looks very good. Obviously it's not functional but neither is almost any hood scoop. I like it. Definitely something unique.

thanks, have the upper part of the tube in the mail (took 5 months to find) and will have to fabricate the rest of the tube since I can’t locate it. Hopefully functional by next week. Have other parts in the mail, back order or waiting for time to install (Cervini C Chin, front splitter, side splitter, rear as quarter louvers, custom side exhaust, rear diffuser (fabricating to remove exhaust cutouts). It’s a work in progress. Just not rushing it so it’s not all choppy like before when I couldn’t wait for all the parts to arrive.
