For the stock, lightly modded, and full bolt-on Mustang owners...

Are you content with your power level?

As the poll states, are you happy with your power level? I have a "full bolt-on" Mustang GT, and despite the power level being perfect for the street, I'm always wanting more. I want to boost the car, but is it really necessary to do so?

Just a random thought that popped into my mind.

Discuss.

Most people are content until they get passed.......
Yup. At one point I was satisfied, then I got smoked by an Audi RS7. I mean, there's no shame in that, but still, I wanted to at least put up a fight for more than 2 seconds.

I wouldn't turn down an offer to go boosted, that's for sure.

BTW, I am pretty sure I have seen your car around here. Do you happen to work on Dorchester?

I think mine is at a real fun power level for the little money spent. Hate to mess up a good thing at this point.

I have plenty of fun in my 5.0 with an e54r tune. I'm content for now but boost is definitely in my cars future...

I'm happy with the HP the car makes as is. I really can't utilize any more power where I live without getting into trouble. I won't get on it hard when there are people around and there are not enough open roads with good pavement. Ontario has a max speed limit of 110km/h (70mph) so there's no legal way to exploit that HP unless I go to the track. I'm considering some track or drag strip time next summer where I can really open it up without any guilt whatsoever.

With 18 manifold, CAI, tune and injectors this car is as fast as I would ever want it to be and still be able to drive hard and handle the road. For 3700-3800 lb road car IDK why you'd want more, but I am not a drag guy. Plus being able to use more power on the street means higher speeds and potential jail time, no thank you. If I want to go 140-150 mph and go to jail I can already do that now lol.

I am happy since there is not enough traction on the street even though I have only about 475 rwhp, more would be pointless to like 70 mph

Also add in that e85 NA reliability and well, its not really beatable. Most likely if I got beat I could just say I am NA e85 tune only and they have like 12k of mods and it probably would have been a close enough race(atleast on the street) that they would feel bad lol..

I voted NO. Not that the car doesn't have plenty of power for the street, but more wouldn't hurt.
I currently have a high flow filter, stock air box, 3 inch cat back and E85. Put down 461/433 on the dyno. Might go cat less long tubes and dyno again.
I plan on staying NA on this car, so hopefully I could get +25/15 or more out of that set up.
Been waiting for someone to try the new Comp NSR cams. Hopefully they have some decent gains.
I would like to put a solid 500/460 + down.

Ill say this. As a hardcore drag racer. My car was alot more fun. As a mid 11 bolt on car. It was easy to get a good race. With cars of about equal power. Its very hard to find. And get lined up with another big power car. On grudge night now. And I didn't worry about breaking things with bolt on power. Like I do with boosted power.
