I grew up GM. The only Ford I owned for all those years were trucks or cars I bought to fix and flip. I bought my '17 Mustang V6 because it was a good car for my daily - same reason I recently traded that in on a '19 GT 6 speed. I WANTED to live the last two gen Camaro's so much. I love the LSx engines. Love the low end grunt. I've wrenched on tons of LSx swap in all different kinds of vehicles. I simply couldn't deal with the blind spots ....I'm 6'3" 230lbs and I couldn't believe how bad the Camaro was. I really like the Scat Pack Challenger - as I stated above - and I wish that Ford would offer than "flat" Gray on the normal Mustang. I ended up getting Silver on the '19. Odds are I'll get it wrapped eventually. Most guys I know are car guys, not so much brand loyal.

Ford's quality issues are finally starting to hurt the brand.

. The ONLY reason I'm not in a Challenger is because the wife is weary of Dodge reliability. Funny as that's the same reason we bought the F150 over the Ram, and that didn't turn out well.
funny, thats why I traded my loaded 2016 Scat pack in on a 18 Mustang. it had less than 4000 miles on it but I was seeing enough weird glitches in electrical that I didnt trust it for the long haul. hell those LED tail lights are $1500 each.

Our tail lights are $1000/a piece. Headlights are slightly more.

There's nothing cheap on any of these cars, which is a large reason why insurance premiums are high.

So if the Camaro bites the dust, where do the BowTie fans go? Mustang or Dodge(s)?
Well according to every member of camaro6. the vast majority will buy a vette. or keep the camaro til its undrivable. which should happen in 6...5...4...3...2...

Ford could easily dominate sales.
Offer the 7.3, there are people out there who want a good old American V-8.
Offer the 3.5TT.
Reinstate the N/A V-6.
Offer the DCT7 in all trim levels......imports are doing this.
Offer a 5.2 CPC.
Fix the type writer tick.
CobraJet themed offering to the public?

Face it, the Stang is now Ford's only performance car in America.
They need to stop treating it like a red headed step child.
I agree. Multiple engine options available in Challenger are it's sales advantage in the price range where most of the buying takes place. If Ford retained the V6 option it would account for over 3000 units per month. Providing they do not intentionally dress it down. I am seeing new Challengers everywhere. They grow on me. I did a show room visit. Sat in one. Did not press for a drive. For me it was a size perception thing. I prefer my Mustangs. However, for a lot of other US car buyers Challenger is a total kick. Bigger is better.

If they made a factory Challenger convertible that’s what I would be driving. They don’t so we went with our Mustang. We have been driving Chrysler products since 1992 and they have been extremely trouble free. Our next ride will be a FCA product. The uConnect system is far superior to anything Ford or GM has.

Challenger out sold the Mustang?
With those gonzo rebates, the Dodge Challenger could be a helluva deal ... as long as you insist on only using the right side pedal & not turning the steering wheel off dead center.
However, if, for any reason, you opt to utilize the center pedal &/or move the steering wheel from side to side, then the Mustang is a way mo' bettah automobile

That Red eye with the $7970 rebate is tempting. Problem is here in Ca they mark the car up and then add the rebate so the dealership is nowhere near where the negotiations should be before rebates. These dealers get reimbursed for those rebates for F sakes. Discount the car or F off!
