These cars aren’t that hard to find at this point.

You bought a new car for a reason, right?

Fords inventory search is easy to use. Id find a nice new non crashed one.

Imho, they’ll never offer enough off to make worth taking it an option. Personally I’d want tens of thousands off, and I don’t see them going lower than a few K off.

I didn't know that 5k required the dealer to notify a potential buyer about the accident.
Thanks

Yes... the BMW lawsuit set a precedence for the dealers, that they will not even challange the risk of not doing what they are supposed to do.
If interested, PM me and I can send you the legal info on this.
The prior cases dealt with selling cars as new after they were repaired due to hail damage.

Interesting read, hope I hope it works out. I bet they checkout the frame and if no damage, they will replace the complete cradle assembly with the complete rear end just to play it safe.

As said, walk away. A substantial impact like that damages or misaligns other internal parts of the car that might not raise their heads until they fail later on due to the initial damage. A ten year warranty would not move me from my initial decision to find another car. It's just not worth the personal risk in a car that is designed to push the cornering and speed envelopes.

I'm baffled this thread has gone on for more than a page.

Dealer crashed your car, you got your money back, time to find a new, undamaged car. I don't get how you're still thinking about this. It IS this cut and dry. You're so blinded by all the potential carrots in front of your face, you can't see the brick wall youre about to hit.

You've gotten a lot of solid input on this Frank. That car is, now and forever, damaged goods. I suspect, if you decide to buy it after all, you're going to come down with a case of buyer's remorse due to knowing in the back of your mind the car was damaged prior to taking ownership. Every little glitch, tick, bump, or noise from the rear end is going to make you think it's still broken. Save yourself the headache now...look elsewhere. I know most of the good folks on this forum will keep an eye out for the color you're looking for. Good luck Sir!

sounds like they were testing the Track Apps / Accelerometer to see if its working before delivering the car but forgot that brand new tires don't grip as well.
No. These are SC2's - new or not they grip like crazy on dry roads. It's not the equipment it was the disrespectful idiot who presumed a customer wants the car to be beaten on before taking delivery. The opposite of my dealer GM.

Orange Fury with the ceramic interior is the cat's meow! I saw on in the dealership and almost forgot common sense and bought it! I already have a Mustang, but still...

I bought this wrecked GT350 at auction back in March for 25K. It had damage to front and rear left side suspension.

I put all used front left and rear left suspension on for under 1500 dollars and it aligned perfect. I replaced both side curtain and the drivers seat airbag, reset the airbag module, and had the driver’s seat belt for around $1000. I probably have 4-5k in the rebuild and the car is practically done minus a little body work. The car had 5,800 miles on it when I bought it. If you want to buy a wrecked car, go buy a wrecked car. It will cost you much less I believe...

Here is what it looks like now....

On question you guys asked was about insurance. My company is OK with the airbags deploying, they will not cover a car that has a salvage title.

Nice job on picking up the GT350 for 25k
Best of luck with it.

If its really wrecked don't accept it. I have heard of people concocting such stories to make buyers pull out of an agreement when someone else offers to pay more. Not just on cars.
Actually happened to me on my 2018. Not a Shelby, but the dealer told us that the paint was corroding and failing after we were told that other people were interested in the car and had made offers (we had already signed a purchase agreement with them for a very low price).
