If c20 is 103 octane and I’m starting with 91 octane pump gas, I need a 50/50 mix (7 gallons each for a full tank) to get to 97 octane. Without doing the math all the way, I would need all 90 dollars and 5 gallons worth of c20 to get me to 93-95 octane. Not a chance in hell am I going to do that. I could import e85 from the moon for a similar price.

Does the Whipple tune adapt to the higher octane instantly or is there a delay of some sort while it learns that it can add more timing?

I believe it adapts instantly. Basically, it’s constantly looking for the threshold of knock, adjusting the timing on a millisecond basis. I believe whipple turns off the OAR which takes longer to adapt.

It adjusts instantly.

It adapts instantly but can only add 4 degrees over the base map. I think only 2 degrees over 6k rpm or so.

I was told that it's 1.1oz to a gal to turn 91 into 93. Anyone know the oz mix from 91 to 95?

Boostane has an app that calculates the amount to add. It’s much lower amounts than the previous posters in this thread recommend.

I spilled it multiple times on my paint in the beginning and although I freaked out each time, it didn’t cause any discoloration, dulling, bubbling, etc. but yeah get the right funnel made for cap less ford gas tanks so don’t have any issues

This did not come out.... Had to have cover re painted. They did an awesome job but it was an expensive lesson.
