I have a 2015 premium package with the MT82. Wheels are 19's, but didn't know what gear and diff they had in them. I feel like im at almost 8k to see 70 in 2nd gear, is that normal?

If that is the case, how in the world to the 3.73 and 4.09 cars hook up? I don't mean that in a bad way, but they must spin more than I do, and it can be a handful. My car does need a set of radials bad as is, but those cars must be much worse.

As someone with a supercharged 3.73 car on street tires, yes, it’s a bigger handful than yours is.

You could call a dealer with your vin and they could tell you.

There is a tag on the diff that will tell you. 3L55 means 3.55s, 3L15 means 3.15, and so on

Look on the tag on the door jamb.

yy = 3.15
gg = 3.31
dd = 3.55
bb = 3.73

The diffs usually have a tag on them or its stamped in the case what the ratio is...

The other option is to do a vin check with a dealer.

Or pull the rear cover off and count the teeth

I test drove the 2016 base GT and 3.73 PP back to back when i was buying my car. There's not a MASSIVE difference it does accelerate a bit better and it's a little punchier in traffic, but its not a neck snapping difference...

Imho the biggest selling point for me was the torsen diff over the clutch diff. Torsen is awesome, especially if you like corners, being. Able to turn the car at will with the throttle pedal is wonderful. And torsens will take a crap load of abuse. Clutch type diffs need to be serviced, and a clutch rebuild on them is expensive.

ALL THAT said I got my PP 2000.00 cheaper than the base GT premium I tested because that premium had the upgraded sound system and nav...

I would not recommend going over 3.73 on a S550... They arent geared like the s197. So 4.10s on these cars would suck....

My 3.73s are already annoying on the highways I rev at 2500 rpm at 70mph at 80 I'm at 3k or so. That absolutely kills the gas mileage and means constantly pulling over to fuel up on long journeys... On a trip from Texas to Chattanooga I passed the same semi like 6 times.... Because I had to pull over for fuel...

If u keep the revs low the car will do the same drive in 3 stops. I sometimes wish I had one more gear on long road trips to drop the revs down to 1500 rpm
