If you were thinking of spending 30K on a car to keep in garage for the next 10 years to do cruise ins, shows or goofing off in. My choices for now.
2012 and up Boss
2012 and up Shelby Gt 500
2018 Mustang base with A10 and supercharger

Car would never be tracked, so the used GT would be fine with stock suspension. I know this is my personal preference, and just daydreaming. What would your choice be?

Boss 302 would be my choice as well. I prefer the 2012 over the 13 though.

What make the 13 Boss a better choice over earlier years,

Boss 302. Bad ass purpose built car and it will continue to hold value. Screaming NA power is hard to beat.

Seems every article I've read about Boss has good things to say about it's attributes, nothing negative.

Boss! I’ve been shopping for a ‘11-‘12 mustang for my son and there are ALOT of clean ones out there. Some pretty low mileage too. Found a couple that I’d be jumping on without hesitation if I didn’t have to get his ass a car, LOL!

Also curious, why choose a ‘13 over an earlier one?

I prefer the taillights (and to a degree, the stripes) of the '13 over the '12 Boss, that's about it. I like the front end of the '12 better though.

So I guess the solution is a '12 with '13 taillights.

The Boss for sure. Such an incredible car with a ton of character. For the prices right now, as long as you can deal with the lesser interior than the S550, they are absolute bargains.

Weekend/cruise in car, comfort items not a biggie. Something that looks good under the shed while I'm drinking lemonade
