Is a base 2019 or 2020 Mustang GT $30k (base-no options) out the door possible? Or probably not?

Long story=car issues. Budget only allows a base GT at this time. Thanks for the lead Bikeman315. Hoping to find something in S.Florida

Do NOT buy a base

Get a 301a package car
My performance pack is 300A - I love it. I have the upgraded "sync" system in my truck and it's constantly lagging & glitchy. Never had an issue with the tiny screen in my GT & it doesn't make the car any faster.

Also, why not let the guy get the car he can afford? Maybe try adding an explanation instead of saying "no".

My sync is flawless

I’d buy a low miles 301a used before getting a 300a car

For 25 bucks more a month it’s a no brainer, if 30 is ok but 32 isn’t u may wanna rethink what u can afford

Just my opinion, whichever he chooses is up to him

it's a little bit of a long shot but not impossible.

My base+PP1 was 35K OTD and that was January. Now they are all over the place at under 34 asking. But first you need to find a 300A GT with 6MT since kinda rare. You can find EB base all day long.

OTD/OTR also depends on your local tax rates.

Here's a 10AT base GT. https://www.koonsfordfallschurch.com/new/Ford/2019-Ford-Mustang-971681110a0e0ae7402d408f7f95f211.htm
It's been on the lot for 6 months so play hard ball.

Where are you located? I won't dig into why you've set the max to 30K. I assume you walked into that number from a payment structure. My EB+PP1+6MT+101A+ActiveExhaust was $27.8 OTD end of May so unless you're wed to the V8 you can get a lot of car for comfortably under your limit. I drive my GT and EB back to back all the time. The EB is actually a bit more fun. The GT makes better cabin noise for sure.

The base 'sync' works fine though and really Android Car/Apple is mostly a gimmick for the cell phone glued to their forehead crowd. I can stream blue-tooth songs from my phone just fine with the basic setup. And Google Maps on the phone has always worked great. Just get a good mount and you've got the most important part of the 301A package. Be advised you can buy an entire 301A retrofit kit for like $800 from one of our forum vendors instead of the shameless markup price of $2000 from Ford.

Also don't forget the used market. Here's a real pretty 2017 GT asking 25K for 16kmi. If I didn't already have a GT I'd be all over it.

Shogun32, and guys. Car got in an accident(red light runner-not me) and looks like a writeoff. Base GT serves my needs and my expenses list means everything has a budget. I don't need/use Sync so I don't need to purchase it.

Later I can always upgrade the brakes and suspension/wheels. Looking in the Miami FL market. Zip 33173.

$2000 for 301A.
Sync 3 Conversion (Which includes drive modes) is $400 cheaper and takes an hour to install. And that's a full kit, with full tech support etc.

To the OP:

If you're open to color etc (meaning BLACK - these seem to be everywhere around me) you can probably get close depending on your tax rate. With VA's tax rate, I've already been quoted $32500 including TTL.

fly up to DC. Then take the Amtrak Car Train back down. Or better yet swing west a little bit and drive the Appalachian Trail all the way back before you end up having to slog thru the sheer boredom that is FL. *grin*

Or of course see if you can find a car somewhere in FL or GA.

I bought a 300a PP1 car and did the sync upgrade last week and had drive modes activated for less than 1k
If he wants to add it later its totally fiesable too.

No Luck yet. The $29,990.00 car above "suffered" a mysterious price increase when I got to the dealership. Still looking.
