How would you like to be one of the guys that I saw recently that was selling his 2106 GT350 recently? Car had only a few hundred miles on it (and just out of warranty). Basically only drove it to the dealer for oil changes. The guy probably paid a 10,000.00 ADM in 2016 figuring it was the last of the 2 year run and would be able to make a good buck off it down the road.

Well Surprise they are still making them (and have been improved each year). So he was selling it for like 10,000.00 under list! Didn't even get to drive the thing and lost his shirt.

Fell total victim of the HYPE. Seems everyone is really building the HYPE before release these days. (due to the availability of social media).

Then the car gets released, test driven, picked apart, the ADM's stop and you can buy it at less than MSRP. Then the new HYPE starts on the next big thing. Amazing. Saw an add today for a Dodge Demon over 8,000.00 off!

I really don't get why people think cars are collectible. In 30 years I reckon all gasoline cars sales will be banned and there won't be a secondary market no matter their historical significance. If the guy's investment horizon was 15 years maybe he'd have a prayer of breaking even...(remember currency depreciation of 3-5%/yr in the mean time).

There is a show-room new 2014 C7/Z51+3LT that was stored in a museum near me, something like 6mi on the ODO. Guy wanted something like 58K. Talk about delusional.

Dodge was advertising $10/hp off a couple weeks ago so $8k off is nothing. Double that and you might have a point.

Hopefully someone smart (or 2 smart people) jumps on this. $5,100 off sticker on a 2019 GT350R.
given your history, I assume you've already validated these? Maybe you could post a hint as to which state it's in?

My small dealer in SW New Mexico has a new 2019 GT 350, Magnetic/Blue Stripes.
Probably at msrp plus 1K for the Shelby Fee he has to pay to Ford.

Also a 2020 GT 350 Allocation, NON R, that can still be spec'd out.

This is a very small dealer. No doc fee's. I deal directly with the owner, he is a good guy.
You can probably get a good deal on either one of these 350's.

He also has a 2020 GT 500-Non CFTP allocation, someone can spec this car out now
if they're interested. He wants msrp plus 5K for the GT 500.

PM me if seriously interested.

Crazy deal folks. Hopefully someone smart (or 2 smart people) jumps on this. $5,100 off sticker on a 2019 GT350R. Your choice black or magnetic. I have a contact name for you to get this deal so message me directly. No tire kicking.
That's a smoking deal. The dealer near me (Riverside CA) wants $20k over sticker for their R.

don't even get me going on California dealers... there's a reason why I got mine in Texas.
TX has their fair share of doosh bag dealers tho. Just in my area Grapevine Ford, Five Star Ford in NRH, Mak Hiak in Desoto...all suck.

fair enough. but you guys definitely have dealers that will give great deals also. here in California, I'm only aware of one dealership in the entire state that sells their Shelby's at sticker. otherwise pretty much every single R I've ever seen is marked up 10 or 20 or 30 thousand. my point is that California dealers are a bigger joke than Texas dealers overall.

haha so I stand someone corrected, I decided to pull into one of the larger dealerships as I was driving by here in SoCal.. they have a black R at only 5K over, respectable for California. guy says they can sell it at sticker if I want it, I was pretty shocked.

if anybody here in SoCal wants this at sticker let me know.

The "discussion" that I had with a salesperson at the Ford dealer was a joke. The guy was a complete douche. Super uppity, literally laughed at me when I asked about the possibility of a test drive in the GT350 (non R) that they had on the lot, and went into some long tirade about not even knowing if I was "qualified" to buy the car and they never let anyone drive one without a full credit check. Also said some BS about how virtually anyone who buys this car is a huge Mustang enthusiast and have owned several Mustangs in the past (I told him that I had never owned a Mustang). I asked him how I was supposed to determine whether the car was worth the premium price that they were asking without driving one, and he said "well you can't go test drive a Ferrari either, but they are clearly worth the premium to the people who buy them."

I knew what I was dealing with at the point and just walked away.
