No McQueen/Steeda Wheels For Me!!

Well....there goes that idea!! We were initially told they would be available in the Dark Charcoal and an all Black option. But to be only all Black....I’m out!! We already have a set of those from Ford!! Over the winter I will have my wheels Shelby C11’s Powder Coated in the Center spoke Area only....should appear more towards the original Steve McQueen torque thrusts from the movie !!!! Also...did y’all see the Center caps we’ve been offered ???... IMHO...their Center caps are kinda lame on a BULLITT!! ... “Steeda Special Service”..?????? I guess we’ll be cops or something??? “PD” !!!! A lot less coin for me anyway!!! $500 per wheel in an all Black finish.... YIKES... I’ll be interested in how their sales go! Their front fascia I was told, was also to be available but probably not now??? @tj

That' their standard center cap. Who cares about that? They used the same wheel on their Special Service cars.

I've been saying for a while.. the McQueen cars are just a Q Series with green parts.

Steeda's wheel "disappears" with the all black paint; the brushed aluminum perimeter on our OE and the SMCQ edition wheels frame the black and dark graphite nicely. Not very attractive IMO

The color was a big part of the allure of this wheel for me. Bummer. I understand wanting to differentiate it from the ones going on the SMcQ Edition, and it's a logical change. However, that cancels my desire for the wheels :( :(

I didn’t know Ford already has all black Steve McQueen Edition wheels. If you look elsewhere in this board, there is a thread “Steve McQueen 20 inch wheels available.” There it mentions that the graphite look with the silver rim is available along with the all black which will come later.

have you seen these wheels? They look nearly identical to the real 1968 wheels. Actually, a lifetime ago I had these on my 1970 Roadrunner.

I thought they would make a custom offset, bolt pattern? Just a thought. I like my stock ones.

Im going with a hyper silver rim or gt350 style myself But If i want all i need is 1 front and 1 rear in Black and i will send them out and have my own set made like the Steve mcqueen version .i had it done on my hellcat .i wanted a certain wheel in 10.5 and 20x9.5 in forged light weight and i had them custom made by a friend that has a popular company making custom wheels and i paid about 15% less too -could not tell the difference.

That sucks. Was going to pick up a set but I guess I'm going to just go ahead and get the stock ones powder coated to a similar grey finish.
Anyone do this to theirs yet?

I can’t find these wheels in any finish other than all black. Where can I find what you’re talking about?
