Future Sync3 Updates

Does anyone think we'll get a Sync3 update in 16-19s that will match what is rolling out with the 20s? I saw a few videos of drives in the 20 HiPerf Eco and it had a newer version of Sync running. I certainly hope so, current version is looking tired aesthetically.

yes, specifically at (2 min mark) you can see a refreshed Sync3.

I semi-recently updated to 3.3x, it tweaked the UI a bit, offers some extra backgrounds, etc.

The new CarPlay in iOS 13 is __schweet__ !!

Since that's just an OS update, I'm sure it'll be available, whether it's through a Ford channel, or "other"

Yessir! That's what I upgraded Got the download from owner.Ford.com, used a USB stick (it wasn't an OTA update).

From all the other threads I've seen:
- 2020 ships with Sync3 v3.4 (new blue theme)
- 2019+ have newer APIM hardware that can be upgraded to newer Sync builds. For 2019s currently 3.3 is available on the owner.ford.com website. 3.4 will eventually be on there (Fall?)
- 2018 and below models use different older APIM hardware.
