Im hoping us guys with the tail end of the build cycle (week of 10/28) don't get pushed off past the point of getting it this year. Is what it is, it's just I would rather know it's coming in the spring, than be told it's coming before winter, only to then be pushed back until spring....

I think the Ford Explorer problem is kicking their butts. The Mustangs are only being produced 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) on a single shift. All the other time is being used to fix Explorers.
My source says the explorer issue is an issue, but not the only factor in the delays....although it is not a significant issue with the stangs.

Oh, and my DAY is 10/7, so thats good for me.

I assume everyone else is being pushed if we all did

All the date changes are scaring me! Called Ford Canada as I'm sure i'm starting to annoy my dealer... Scheduled date for 0256 is now 10/04 :crying:
Just to add to that your comments it was just last week that Oakville advised all of the Canadian SVT dealerships that they are each now only getting 2 CFTP allocations for the 2020MY and not the 6 CFTP allocations each that they were under the impression of.

Each dealership was also advised that their CFTP optioned cars would not be built until sometime in 2020.

Good luck with you car and unless you have ordered the CFTP option I would suggest that you should be in good shape.

:)

I am hearing that might not be the case - hence all of the delays and push back on GT500 build dates... :frown:
I know what the issue is, its not significant

But yes, the early cars were pushed 2 weeks, logic dictates all will be pushed 2 weeks. There is no "All the delays" as in multiple reasons or multiple pushes

You are correct, I misspoke and did not intend to infer there were multiple issues, only multiple orders being pushed back.

Aren’t we all glad that UAW picked Chevy and not Ford to bargain with and strike!

Could be worse.....
You're not kidding. I thought the same thing earlier today.

But I question your source regarding the significance of the issue at hand. More will be revealed once MP cars are released, outside of several preproduction vehicles released to performance partners last week.
My source is on the gt500 program

Coincidentally, since i last posted, a friend said he saw gt500s being delivered/driven by employees a short while ago from a large local ( to him) dealership. Hes going to swing by and see if he can grab pics shortly

My car won't make the cut for the fall. I will be one of the people waiting for spring to come.
It looks like I'm in the same boat; when I called PF, they said it would be about MARCH 2020!!!

I am trying to figure out why there aren't many West Coast VINs. My dealer thinks that it is because Ford wants to get the other cars to people in States that actually have Winters, first. He thinks they will start scheduling the West Coast states for the Winter months. He might be right if Ford treats the base GT500's differently than the CFTP GT500's and the GT350's. I hope he is right, but I ain't holding my breath.

Clearly your source is a high level FP Engineer who is in the know and not concerned. I can say that was not the case as of a week ago and insiders were discussing concern and an appropriate fix.

Enough said.
it is what it is. heres my conversation:

HIM:
Build date is 10/7 as of now. We are working to improve an appearance item.
That is your build date.
Me:
oh, to the day? thats good to know. so its not because the explorers are being pushed down there?
HIM:
That sure isn’t helping, but not main reason

V: Thanks for the insight from your friend although I can't help but wonder what the "main reason" might be if it's not the Explorers. I think I read something about Lincoln vehicles being involved but, my memory is not to be trusted. :-)

Yes, the Lincoln Aviator and Explorers are experiencing issues.
